He seems to be a pretty down to earth guy. He seems to be honest and he did a thorough job. He also does my termites. He did that last fall and I wouldn't even know how to rate that. I assume he did what he was supposed to do. He did extra stuff that he wasn't supposed to do like spraying the carpenter bee holes.He was very professional.

My wife noticed a scratching / crawling sound that appeared to be coming from HVAC duct work. An inspection by HVAC contractor found a duct run that was disconnected from floor vent, and several spots where animals could enter into crawl space in home. Also noted several places where animal droppings were found. The entry areas were sealed properly by the HVAC contractor, however the scratching noise continued to occur early in the morning and late in the evening.
We contacted Butler Pest Control based on reviews and ratings found here on Angie's List. They responded promptly, examined the crawl space and determined that their was either a raccoon, opossum, or squirrel under the home. Traps were baited and strategically located in the crawl space under the home. The noise continued that evening and early the next morning Butler came back to examine the traps which were empty but the bait had been eaten. Smaller traps were then baited and installed. Late that evening louding screeching noises were heard under the home and when Butler returned to check the traps the next morning one of them had a squirrel in it. The squirrel was taken to a remote farm area and released.
Since the removal of the offending critter who we affectionately named Brotha Man we have not had any further noises in the crawl space. A job well done by Butler Pest Control. I'll definitely be using them to treat the home for termites.

I called Butler Pest Control Services in late June 2009 because I had discovered that raccoons were entering my chimney flue from the roof, and I wanted them trapped and relocated. An appointment was made promptly and two technicians came to my house to address the issue. They said they would set live traps and relocate the animals; I paid up front. I became concerned when the technicians told me they would set the traps in the yard. I said that I had cats, and I would prefer the traps were set on the roof so as to not entrap my cats. The technician replied that cats did not usually get in the traps, and, if they did one time, would not a second time. I again expressed concern that I did not want a cat (mine or a neighbor's) spending all day stuck in a trap in hot weather, and asked what they would be baiting the trap with. They replied: and quot;cat foodand quot;. At this point, I insisted that the traps should be placed on the roof, which they did.
After they left, I began to realize that a trapped raccoon would likely struggle, and it was very likely that motion would send the trap tumbling off my sloped roof. While I certainly wanted the animals moved, I did not want to needlessly injure or maim them. I called back the next day and asked them if the traps could be tethered (to the chimney, for example) so they would not fly off the roof. I believe they did do this, though my memory is a bit foggy at this point. I do recall that they came regularly to check the traps (no raccoons were caught). My final moment of irritation with this company was when I found that instead of properly disposing of the cans of cat food they were using as bait, they simply threw them in my yard. I came home one day to find and dispose of maggoty cat food. After this, I called and told them I no longer needed their services and to please remove their traps. This was not more than a week after they initially placed the traps, perhaps only 3-5 days.
I do not mind that the raccoons were not caught and I don't blame Butler Pest Control Services for that, especially since I requested they remove the traps. I DO mind that they did not seem to care whether they did the job well. I did not appreciate the careless attitudes of their technicians, and will never call them again. I must give them one positive comment, though: they always responded very promptly.

They carefully inspected my attic for damage and possible entry points and found none. Traps were set in the yard near the area of suspected entry and in the attic. Their goal was to trap live, remove, and release in a remote area. They came to the house daily to check the traps. The traps remained empty - no squirrels (or other rodents) were caught. I stopped hearing the sounds. No signs of entry were found. All total they made 4 service calls and offered to leave the traps for an extended period. Even though no squirrels were found I felt reassured that nothing was in the attic causing damage.

They're really good people and they come in and do what they say they're going to do.

When you call them they come. I would highly recommend them. They are very professional and if I ever need anybody I will call them.
