Connie had been recommended to me. Jackson is a place that does not have the best reputation for its property management folks but I had to choose someone. I went and talked with Connie; she gave me copies of a sample contract, then she started looking for folks who could rent my place. It turned out to be rather difficult as there were some of the oddest people trying to rent! She went through the mill with one guy who seemed to be mentally ill...anyway, she came through that with grace and found a decent renter who I am quite happy with. One pays her half of the first month's rent, then $60/month which is pretty reasonable. She was willing to do several things extra (ie run to the bank for me to arrange for deposits, etc.) and give me advice on ways to market and sell/rent a home, so I have been quite happy with her.
