I decided to go with a metal roof vs. shingles - roof looks great. However, I cannot verify if the old shingles were actually removed (2-layers) or if they just dropped the new on top of the old. Since it took less than half a day I suspect the latter since I was not home during installation.Second, the vinyl siding they replaced looks great, I am happy with the siding. My only comment on the siding is the piece they removed from under an outside door and never replaced. Just left the insulation board showing - I repeatedly asked the contractor to get it fixed and was always told - yes, we'll get that replaced. Now five months later after everything is complete I asked one last time - what I got was a block of wood stuck in the hole, I think it looks awful. When I sent the contractor an email (twice) complaining of their "fix" I haven't received any reply and sure that I won't.Third, I also got new shutters put on the outside windows. It took about three months for the shutters I did get to arrive. I asked for three windows in front, two windows on each side for a total of seven windows. What I got was two windows on the front and about a month later the third window. I never did shutters for the two sides so I finally ordered the same exact shutters from Home Depot for half the price of what I was charged for the front and paid a very nice fellow to install them for me on my own. This was the last items the contractor had to install and by this time I had become quite tired of dealing with the whole situation and just let it go. I paid $178 for four windows at Home Depot and he charged me $375 for two windows.Lastly, the kitchen flooring that I replaced: Installers was going to put new vinyl on top of the laminate that was damaged. I was there to supervise and made them take up the laminate before laying new flooring. Since the house is older there were some old tiles under the laminate that were broken - some removed, some not. Now I have these uneven tiles under my new laminate and a very bumpy uneven floor. Seems like there would be something they could have put down to "even" it out before putting down the new vinyl. Well, I still need to get someone to correct that issue. And for the final word, the concrete work and tree removal went fine- no complaints there.
Description of Work: Performed repairs to my home following tornado damage - new roof, siding, shutters, removing trees, concrete repair/replacement and kitchen flooring. Builder was very helpful in dealing with the insurance company and maintained communication throughout the entrie process.
