JAMES COUNTERTOPS

Delivered new countertops which were installed by a recommended contractor. The counters are beautiful and the installation was well done. Would use James Countertops again.

This is right down straight from us.  They have been here a long time.  The experience with them was really good.  Everything worked out fine.  
I did not have problems with him.

Overall, it didn't go too well. I originally contacted this company in March. Someone came and measured and said it would be installed in April. I gave a $250 deposit .I didn't hear a word until I started calling in May. They came May 11 and installed the countertops. Unfortunately, the measurements on one side were off by 6 inches so the job could not be completed at that time. They returned May 28 to complete the job with a new top. That part was fine but the back splashes were a half inch shorter than the originals. Since the wall is papered there was a half inch gap. The installers said I should put up some trim to fill the gap. I reluctantly agreed and paid them but came to realize the trim would be a bad idea. Not only would it not look right but I would have to hire someone to do the job, spending even more money. It should have been cut correctly the first time. I felt they were trying to bamboozle me. I called and complained and someone came and measured again. They said the problem should be rectified soon but, of course, it wasn't. I called daily for a week and the owner never returned my calls. My last call, I told the sectretary I felt ripped off and didn't think they stood behind their work. I got a call back and the work was finished the next day. My biggest complaint with this company is the lack of communication and failure to keep the customer informed. Anyone can measure wrong, but I never got an apology. The whole process took 4 months from beginning to end. That's too long. I'm happy with my new countertops but that's because I picked them and I wouldn't let these people off the hook.

Used them on a rehab. They made it easy, and saved money by putting the kitchen in for me.
