The insurance company recommended him. He came out and said there was no hail damage but there was leakage. Which made this not an insurance claim. It took 6 months to take care of the project. He continued to say that his guys would be there on a specific day but it may have been 3-4 weeks before they got there. He was the general contractor on the job, and said that he was not responsible for any of his subs on the job. They started to lay the metal roof over the shingles that were already there, which is not supposed to be done this way. GAF wouldn't honor the warranty the way that they were going to lay it. So they had to take their progress down at that point. Which made for a longer process. The job is still not completed because the skylight that was removed is not repaired on the inside, which to me is part of the R & R( remove and replace). He wants to come give another estimate for this portion.
