DRYWALL EXPRESS

Contractors showed up on time with 6 installers. 92 sheets of 4x12 drywall installed in one day. Mudding took an additional week due to weather, contractor personnel scheduling, and equipment issues. Contractor did not have scaffolding required for job and we had to let them use ours. Incorrect/sloppy cutting of drywall resulted in several walls being put out of square and I had to patch large holes and gaps. One wall in bathroom was brought to their attention and they said they fixed it but I later found they had not done so. They merely mudded over it which caused a subsequent problem when bathroom was tiled. Also, 4 electrical outlets were covered up. There was an extreme amount of wasted wallboard because they did not use any leftover pieces for small areas. The mudding job was horrific. Every seam can be seen and all are rough. Only two choices on types of ceiling finishes were offered. They slung drywall mud on my wood ceilings in living room. They did not clean up their mess either leaving drywall dust, globs of dried drywall, and nails and screws strewn all over the floors and inside window jambs,. In addition to the above, their boss, James Stapler, was patronizing and rude to me, saying he preferred to work with the "man of the house." The "man of the house", my husband, had to go out of town and he instructed Mr. Stapler to report to me. Mr. Stapler did so reluctantly and made his displeasure obvious. I do not recommend this company because of the lack of attention to detail in their efforts to complete the job as fast as possible to increase their profit. .
