TITAN RESTORATION

In the late fall of 2009, we contracted with Titan to replace our roof. With some delays in communication & weather, the job was completed in Feb. of 2010. We had an historical flood in May of 2010 with, of course, lots of torrential rain. During that summer, I began noticing odd changes in color and shape of our bedroom wallpaper. When the changes worsened and my husband seemed only slightly interested, I climbed in the attic during one rain and found two leaks in the roof with water running down that same wall. I began calling Titan in the late fall/early winter of 2010. There was some confusion since the company had split into two separate entities which led to difficulties in contact. Someone came, diagnosed rusting of the chimney cap, stated he'd solved it. In December after seeing more water in the attic, I began calling again. After a few messages and speaking to the office assistant, someone came finally came about 3 weeks later & reflashed around the chimney. In January of this year, I found mold growing around the wall's baseboard and carpet. I, again, went up to the attic to see water running down one of the original 'leaks' (almost a year after the roof had been replaced). I began trying to communicate with our insurance adjustor and Titan. For the next four weeks, we exchanged phone messages, calls, tentative appointments, cancelled appointments, etc. In mid February, my husband and I began tearing out the bedroom wall so that we could reveal the extent of mold and damage. We took pictures of the mold and damage and sent those to both our insurance company and to Titan. The owner called during the last week of February, said what I was describing couldn't be possible, but made an appointment to come see for himself. He was very apologetic when he saw the situation. He promised to repair the roof (ended up being the chimney flashing, still) and bedroom at his own cost. He has followed through on that promise, unfortunately, we've had many of the previous repeats of voice messages, appointments cancelled, no 'call backs', etc. It is July 8, 2011 (4 &1/2 months later), and we have just moved back into our finished bedroom.
