Great - Star was very friendly and professional. She has a great eye and she gave me a new perspective which is what I needed - I was stuck and didn't know where to begin. She charges by the hour and which is great - you can use her for a small project or a large redesign. I would highly recommend Star!

In a few short hours Star changed my quality of life. She did an excellent job organizing and arranging the furniture and accessories I already owned.

We worked non-stop for 4 hours and covered questions about every room in the house. It was a very productive four hours - just as we expected. In all it was an extremely successful experience.

I'm embarrassed to admit how late this review is.  Star was so absolutely wonderful and a lifesaver for our decorating and remodeling needs.  She went out of her way during the project to help me. She was tremendous. I was thinking today about how I still love everything she recommended and realized that I had never posted a review.  She is simply awesome. Could not have done it without her.  Her sense of color is unbelievable.  The approx. cost I've indicated is a true estimate on my part. It was a couple of years ago. I found her cost very reasonable for the value I received.

Star is an amazing and professional designer. I asked for a color consultation for my new house, wall colors mainly. We went through each room together, talked about different colors, and picked out colors for each room. Looking at a color sample and trying to imagine it all over the room was a challenge for me, but it turned out great! She had great ideas that I would have never thought of, like painting my bonus room ceiling and wall the same color, to give it a more cozy feel. The house couldn't have turned out nicer and everyone that came over complimented the colors.

Why oh why didn't we call Star years ago!! Because of many previous bad decorating choices (especially paint colors) we decided to call a professional. I was nervous because I thought a decorator would make me feel inferior because of the current state of our home decor. Star immediately made us feel comfortable. Her energy and enthusiasm are contagious! We were concerned that our kitchen cabinets needed to be painted, but Star helped us see the beauty in our cabinets and helped us choose a color to compliment them. A painter hinted that we needed a neutral color in our living room, but Star showed us how to accent the color and we are in love with it again! She saved us thousands by these two pieces of advice alone!! She helped us choose paint for all of our rooms for a beautiful flow! She also helped us with furniture placement using our current pieces. Although our home is small, Star gave our home the same care and attention as if it were a mansion which meant a lot to me. She gave us a cool binder to put the paint samples and her notes in so we can take it when we choose flooring, window treatments or other decorating accents. I just can't say enough good things about Star and would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone. I'm sure we will use her advice in the future. Trust me...she is awesome!

Star is fantastic to work with - full of energy, passionate about her work
and ideas. We had a specific need to make our new house a home by using
furniture and items from our former house and antiques from family. She
came and immediately recommend colors, moved furniture around and make
some simple changes. This held us over until she was able to come again,
with the same enthusiasm and expertise, for a more extensive organizing
and decorating session. We look forward to our next time with her as
our home evolves.

Star arrived right on time, and did a through walk through to get a feel for our home. Star then brought in her paint samples (nice large ones 8 1/2 x 12) and discussed with us to learn what we liked and what we wanted to accomplish. It is nice to work with someone that is down to earth, knowledgeable, and doesn't make you feel that you are clueless about picking colors that work together.

Star is amazing. In 2 hours she had us ready to paint our entire downstairs with colors that will go perfect in our home. I can't recommend her highly enough for these services and we plan on using her for more than just color consultations in the future.

I had a truly wonderful experience with Star. I told her I wanted to use things I had as much as possible. I have a lot of things with sentimental value but wasn't sure what to do with them. Star came in and we walked through the house and talked a few minutes. She looked at what I had and made wonderful suggestions--things I would never have thought of, but loved.
She arranged things on several bookcases I have in two rooms, all the while explaining why they should be this way or that. Her visit concluded with a written report on suggestions she made, and then with an e-mail giving some more suggestions and a couple of vendors we had discussed. I found that after she left I was able to do some other things on my on because of her explaining she did as she worked.
I can't say enough good things about what Star did in my home.

I called Star for an interior color consultation after two attempts with others had failed. Star and I talked about my tastes, I showed her a few pictures from magazines that I like, and we walked through our home. Star immediately got a sense of my taste in color and design and in just a few minutes was picking out gorgeous colors for us. She had fantastic ideas about how to emphasize the things we like about the house and minimize the things we don't. We ended up with a beautiful palate for the upstairs; we decided to do the downstairs at our next meeting. Star is so easy to talk to and a real pleasure to work with. She clearly loves what she's doing and she made the process enjoyable. I would (and will) recommend her without reservation to anyone who need design services. She's awesome!

I contacted Star last week to see if she could help us pick colors for the project that we're doing (renovating 3 bedrooms and 3 baths). I reached her right away and she was available to come this last Sunday afternoon.
She arrived right on time and brought more paint samples than I had ever seen! We walked through the area under renovation and showed her some of the choices we'd made throughout the rest of our home to give her an idea of what we liked. Then she looked over samples of tile, bedspread, carpet, etc that we had picked out as possibilities.
She quickly helped us zero in on tile for the guest bathroom and we picked some great paint colors for the guest bedroom and bath. Then we selected colors for our daughters' bedroom and made good progress on tile for both the girls' and boys' bathrooms. All in 2 hours!
She left us with 8x10 samples of most of the paint colors we picked and followed up the next day with an email summarizing our choices and following up with some additional contacts for us.
I appreciated several things about Star. First, she was very easy to talk with. Though she is clearly very knowledgable, she was not intimidating or condescending. Second, she worked with the samples we had that were in our budget and didn't try to push us to more expensive materials. Third, she could clearly articulate her opinions and rationale (which I want and need), but she was happy to go a different direction with us if we didn't love what she laid out. Last, she was very responsive and available at a time that worked for us.

Overall, she did a great job and thinks outside the box. If I did not like a particular color, she did not force it on me.

I needed help with choosing paint colors to pull my decor together, and the additional challenge of my open floor plan was more than i could do on my own. From the living room, the entry foyer as well as a balcony to the bonus room are visible, along with the hall to a bedroom, den, and full bath suite. Oh yes, and there are two arched entries to the kitchen/dining area. Star hit the spot! She quickly grasped the challenge, moved through it with ease and careful attention, and she chose colors that I have actually now put on the walls and it's gorgeous. She accomplished the look and feel that I wanted while also doing what's right for the house. I will hire her again as soon as we finish with the major rooms of the house.

SHE IS AMAZING!! She has such an eye for color! More importantly, she listens to your ideas and incorporates them into the design. Her pricing is extremely fair and she very sensitive to your budget. She will incorporate existing decor items that you currently own which is always a budget saver. I am always amazed when she can spend 30 minutes rearranging items I already own and make a space look totally transformed! The bottom line is I highly recommend her and will continue to use her in the future.
