I believe it was $120 and some change. We have two separate units for air conditioning, we have one separate for upstairs and downstairs. I don't know what other companies charge. I just heard that others charge more, but I don't know for a fact. Our systems still work. They seem to be very dependable and I guess their price is competitive, I'm assuming so, I don't know though. I would recommend them if you had a problem. If I had a problem, I would call them back.

Overall, Star did a great job. This is one of two heat pumps for the house. One had been leaking freon for a couple of yearas and finally required that I replace the entire unit. It was one of the older units that used the original freon - not the newer freon.  They came out on a cold day and the next day install the unit (the compressor out side and the air handling unit inside) without incident. We also had a discussion about SEAR and what I should install (I went with SEAR 13)  While I might have saved a few hundred bucks shopping around, these guys were near me, on time, polite, and professional. In fact, my other heat pump (7 years old) is now acting up. I called a couple of days ago (this is May 2013) and were 'on site' within 12 hours after I called them. If and when I need my 2nd heat pump repaired or replaced, I will use Star again.

Service tech was able to identify problem and fix on the spot. Very courteous and professional.

I think this went great. He came to the house before the scheduled time, had good knowledge of our heat & air unit, knew what the problem was, had to go to Nashville to get the replacement part, came back, and fixed the unit within a very reasonable amount of time.

He did very good work. I feel he gave me a very good quote for the work he did. He was on time. That was important to me.

STAR HEATING AND AIR WERE THE FIRST TO RESPOND WHEN I BEGAN LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO INSTALL CENTRAL HEAT AND AIR IN MY HOME. NOT ONLY WAS THEIR ESTIMATE REASONABLE, BUT THEY COULD ALSO GET ME ON THEIR CALENDAR MUCH SOONER THAN THE OTHER COMPANIES.

THIS IS THE SECOND UNIT STAR HAS INSTALLED FOR US. (TWO DIFFERENT HOMES) THEY HAVE ALWAYS BEEN PROFESSIONAL AND HONEST. THEY TYPICALLY HAVE SAME DAY SERVICE AND ARRIVE WHEN THEY SAY THEY WILL.

THE MAN THEY SENT OUT WAS VERY UN-INTRUSIVE. I HAVE SMALL CHILDREN IN THE HOUSE, AND THE MEN DIDN'T WAKE THEM UP WITH THEIR WORK. THEY KNOCKED TO ANNOUNCE THEY WERE HERE, DID THE WORK AND LEFT. VERY NICE TO DEAL WITH.
