In fairness, the hardscaping was done before I bought the house next door to where the hardscaping was done.  But the driveway was cracked badly and the lawn destroyed on part of the property.  I called and emailed the contractor several times.  Finally he called back, and was very abrasive.  He lied on the phone call and in subsequent emails, and blamed the fact that he drove his tractor on the driveway and lawn of the house that I eventually bought, saying the homeowner of the house where the work was being done said it was okay to drive his tractor on the driveway next door(?)  The house where the property was destroyed was owned by the bank at the time, and they were trying to sell it.
The man that was having the work done, says he never told the contractor where he could or could not drive his tractor.
It just seems to me that any contractor that knowingly destroys property, then doesn't make any effort to make it right, is not honest.
The neighbor also said that service after the sale was non-existent.  Some items that needed repairing, were never repaired, and getting calls back was sketchy at best.
