"As explained, rot in wood cannot be stopped once it has started. Ever-Seal can and will prevent rot from developing in wood, but cannot stop existing rot from spreading. With lumber being grown faster these days, the wood is much softer and the chemicals used to treat the wood now are highly ineffective, so rot even in newer wood is found from time to time. Also, from reviewing the pictures and the response that we've already sent to the client in April of 2021, it looks like a crack in the wood in that area that was already present in our before pictures and not actual rot. We even provided some simple tips for replacing that board. As per her warranty, she can simply replace the bad board and we'll be happy to come back out to seal it for her free of charge for the next 25 years. If that is the only defective board she has, then she'll never have this issue again. We're sorry that you do not feel that you could recommend our service, but we are talking about one defective "spot" on a 576sf deck that we're happy to come back out to seal the new board for you once replaced. Our services and warranty are clearly stated in writing and covered in our presentations with all of our clients. We serve thousands of very happy clients every year. I'm sure that the money saved year over year from not having to maintain this deck should help her to reconsider her opinion of us and the value we provide over time."

"This client received the service that he paid for and is now attempting to slander our reputation over issues outside of our work scope. We sealed his paver patio per our contract, now he's demanding a refund because he still has some weeds growing between the pavers (areas that are not Ever-Sealed) due to the patio being laid without a weed barrier and excess lawncare debris building up on the patio that client apparently doesn't want to address. Both the Better Business Bureau and the South Carolina Department of Consumer Affairs have both stated that we have more that fulfilled our contractual obligations and have done everything in our power to reasonably address this clients concerns. We have ample documentation to support this. This is simply an attempt to extort a free service by stating that we claimed a benefit that our service does not provide and that we've never offered in tens of thousands of presentations."
"Thank you for trusting us with your home. Please let us know if we can be of further service or answer any future questions for you. - Steve"
