Our inspector, Michael Jezek, was very knowledgeable, thorough and patient. He took time to explain the issues to us in a manner that we were able to clearly understand.

Inspector noted in his report a mild wet crawl space.   One month after closing I had twelve inches of standing water in crawl space.   Not very mild.    I did not negotiate a warranty from seller so I just spent 10000 on waterproofing the crawlspace.   But, believe it or not this was not the main issue I had with the inspection.
While the inspector was preparing my report the builder, K&M, who was present, was negotiating a rate for a pre-inspection of his homes.  All of a sudden I didn't know who the inspector was working for and constantly wonder if the crawl space was mild or just pleasing a bigger customer.
Also, when the builder stated he had fixed the wet crawl space I called my inspector to re-inspect.   He pointed out that when they re-inspect it was handled with cash and through Pillar to Post.
Seems a little shady and I would recommend not using Pillar to Post.

Ken was awesome.  He did an excellent and thorough inspection of a home we are planning to purchase.  He gave us a walk-through when he was finished to show us what he had found.  He was extremely kind and helpful, and he enthusiastically answered all of the questions we had about the home and how much we could expect various repairs to cost.  At the end of the walk-through he gave us a binder filled with his detailed notes and pictures he had taken of parts of the home (roof, attic, garage, etc...) actually during the inspection.  It was all very professional and he was extremely knowledgeable.

He far exceeded my expectations; I was really, really impressed!

I became a bit concern when I realized the home inspector was friends with the home seller. The home inspector identified a few minor details that were corrected by the seller. I bought the house. Afterwards I had problems with plumbing, electrical, hvac, roofing & insulation. As a variety of repairmen were called, the following were some of the questions or comments I received from the workmen over the last 2 years: "I can't believe the inspector didn't see this" or "How was this problem missed by the home inspector" or "Did you have your home inspected before you bought it?" It has been 2 years of frustration & expenses. I hope by sharing my bad experience with this particularly inept, disinterested home inspector others will be saved heartache & expense.
