Semper Fi Movers

I moved with them once and the service was not bad because the "owner" was one of the movers. The second time I moved I was called the day before and was told they could not do the move because someone had covid. A move is something that you have to plan in advance and it is extremely unprofessional and shady to cancel a move a day before. I agreed to the next day and two other people came out. One person complained the whole time about things they couldn't move that I was not told about and about people filing claims about things being damaged. I had to carry several things myself and if this was not a local move I would have had to leave them. The other person took a few breaks while I was paying by the hour. When a t.v. was unpacked, the legs were broken. The person that was complaining about claims about things being broken a lot had actually wrapped the t.v. and did not say anything about it. When I saw the legs were broken, this person said it was my fault and that I should have taken the legs off, yet he packed it without saying anything. When I spoke to the "owner" , he stated that the legs need to stay on and again and blew the whole thing off. I ended up having to glue the legs back on. I contacted them again about another move since they were local and scheduled a move a week in advance. No one showed up and I called to see what was happening. I was told that he had me scheduled the next day, which isn't when it was scheduled. I could wait one day but had to be out of the apartment no later than the next day and said I would agree to this. Get this, he then told me that he was going to call me later that day (one day before the move) and tell me he was going to have to cancel, that he just did not have the teams to move This person is working from his house now and obviously hires trucks and people on the spot. A move is not something that can be canceled like this and a moving company should have backups. To do something like this is extremely shady. In my opinion, you should avoid these people if you actually have to move on or anywhere near the date you scheduled or any of the above instances. I finally got another company and got a move the same day.

The fellas did a great job - fast, efficient, and very careful. All really nice guys that worked well together. Semper Fi would be my first choice for moving needs.

My experience was good. They were very courteous and prompt. I think if they offered some online services so that they could show more information, that would probably be good. I would absolutely use them in the future.

Semper Fi moved my wife and I from a 2 bedroom apartment on the 2nd floor, across town in Oak Ridge to our new house. We decided to hire a 3 man crew to speed up the process in order to save money. We were very happy with the professionalism of the movers and would hire again.

The two guys that came were very good! They showed up about 15 minutes late which made me a little nervous but they really were great with our move. Nothing was damaged or even scratched and they took lots of time to wrap all of our big furniture and carefully move everything and set it up just the way we wanted it in our new home. They disassembled our bed and reassembled and unhooked and rehooked up a washer and dryer. Out of all the quotes I received for moving though, they were the highest but I went with them anyways because of their reviews. I wish for the money we had a third guy come to help speed things up since you pay by the hour and it took about 5 1/2 hours to move just 12 miles away. That seemed like a pretty long time considering only a one bedroom apartment move (and we do not have a lot of stuff) so the cost was higher than expected. Very happy with the quality of the move though and the guys were professional, friendly, and helpful.

Everything turned out great, they were really nice and they helped me out alot. I did notice that sometimes if we were out of the house they moved a little slower which caused me to pay over the flat rate and this is the only thing that keeps me from rating them as an A.

The gentlemen that showed up were extremely polite, friendly and very easy to work with.  The wrapped all the furniture items and took great care with moving everything, especially my grandmother's antique curio cabinet with a domed glass door.  The move day was longer than expected due to the slope of the new driveway not allowing the truck to be located on the same elevation of the house entrances.  After 14+ hours of moving, the 4 gentlemen were very tired but still had the same polite and friently attitude.  They even checked a few times before leaving to see if there was anything that needed to be relocated.  We were extremely satisfited with their work. If we were to need movers again, we would definitely use them and would recommend them to anyone we know that is moving.  We paid for our service with a check.

I called Semper Fi Movers about 10 am on a Friday morning to get my stuff moved. At my request they were able to accommodate me for early Friday afternoon. As a matter of fact they met me about two and a half hours later, just when I was told they would arrive. Roy and Landis were very polite, courteous, respectful and very able bodied! They wrapped some of the furniture in plastic and  some in moving blankets, which they supplied. They worked quickly and efficiently. I moved about thirty miles away. They unloaded very quickly and even unloaded a new grill cart I had picked up Friday morning and placed it on my deck and put a very heavy Big Green Egg smoker in it for me. 
I was charged the minimum of $330. This was well worth the price for the service I received. I would not hesitate to use them again. I highly recommend Semper Fi Movers.

I was very happy with those guys and I thought they did a really good job. My interaction with the provider was good. They were very professional and prompt. He asked my about my specific needs and then he assigned a crew according to what I told him. They were able to get the job done.

Their packing of my belongings was awful. Didn't know how bad until unpacking. Little 'dings' on many things. Most expensive were the dining chairs that I'd wanted to sell. Would never use again!

Two young men (Roy and Kevin) arrived to begin the process of moving.  Both were well groomed, courteous, and professional. They proceeded to wrap the furniture and load it on the truck.  The truck was packed well to maximize the available cargo space. Upon arriving at our new home, they unwrapped and moved all the furniture into the home, again a two story.
A great job that went without a hitch.  I'd recommend this company to anyone that is considering moving.

They were really good. It was 3 young guys and they did an incredible job of moving and being careful not to break anything. It was a positive experience. Their price was competitive because we checked a couple of other places. We would use them again.
