After a "tornado" went thru Kingston, we discovered that the high winds had lifted the sheet metal on our commercial building, flooding the inside. We filed a claim with our insurance company and while at our agency, someone there recommended Fort Loudon Contractors out of Lenoir City. This person then took over negotiations between them and the insurance adjustor, leaving us completely out of the loop which we weren't happy about. Materials were order, delivered, and work began - all without a signed contract, list of materials, or a copy of the certificate of insurance - all of which we had requested from Fort Loudon prior to start of the job. When they started the work, we discovered that they were not installing the correct gauge of sheet metal for a commercial building, nor was the insulation being installed correctly. We were told that "well, that's the way things are done in the south". After a few "discussions", they snuck in one morning with a trailer, loaded up all of the rest of the materials and disappeared without ever saying a word to us. We discovered after another rain storm that the portion of the roof they had replaced, leaked even after they reassured us repeated that it wouldn't. We then went out looking for someone else and because of our time restraints, we hired B&B Roofing. And oh boy are we glad we did! They gave us an estimate to sign, a list of materials, and a certificate of insurance up front even before we asked for them. They were very professional, telling us each step of the way what was going on. Because no building is ever completely square, they measured twice, sometimes three times, before cutting EACH sheet and then would make absolutely sure that it fit before screwing it down. They must have gone through 2 tubes of caulking around a vent pipe after putting the "boot" on to be sure it wouldn't leak. Everything was installed correctly. The supervisor came back twice after the job was completed - once the make sure the insulation was staying in place and another time after a rain storm to be sure it wasn't leaking. Now - THAT'S what I call customer service!!! We were so thrilled with the work they did, that we gave them a bonus. We just can't say enough about B&B Roofing - they are great! DO NOT use Fort Loudon Contractors. Hire B&B Roofing.
