This is a small company with a small crew that has done business in the Nashville area for more than 10 years. The owner, Trey, makes the roof inspections, helps with the roofing material selection and works on the crew. The crew speaks English as that is their native tongue. Members of the crew have been with the crew for years. I like this company because: (1) they did not rush through my job, (2) they replaced decking where the plywood was delaminating, (3) they positioned the roof vents with even spacing, (4) they replaced the chimney flashing and the vent pipe flashing, (5) they were thorough about the cleanup especially the nail cleanup, (6) they work steady and hard even on hot days, and (7) they made a careful transition from new roof to old roof during the job. In other words, they did not rely on a big tarp that might blow off. Each day they removed only as much roof as they could replace. Although my roof was damaged, it did not leak. That was fortunate because it took one year from the time I signed the contract to when my roof was replaced. There was so much hail damage in Nashville that all the local contractors became fully booked and many contractors from other states came in. I knew others who used GHMC and decided to wait. I wanted someone local in case warranty repair was needed. So far, my roof looks great and is water tight. This company replaced my 3400 square foot roof in 4 days. There are some roofing companies that will bring out a big crew and do it in 1 day. The disadvantage is that if the 1 day crew discovers a hidden problem, they will ignore it because they don't have the time to spare and will not likely have the required material on hand.
