I based my selection of this company on one Angie's list review. They responded quickly to my original request for an estimate, came out to my house and measured for the work. At that time, I told them that I understood that I'm not their only customer, but would appreciate having this done as quickly as possible, it was very urgent. After that, it just didn't seem like they knew what they were doing. Several emails went back and forth trying to figure out what I wanted, which did not change from what I told them at their original visit. They seemed to be having trouble finding the type of door I wanted, for example. Then, several days later, the owner told me that he would have to come out and re-measure because the measurements from the original estimate didn't seem right to him. (very disconcerting to get this question so many days later, when I had told them it was urgent). Most communications from them were in response to my call or email, very little was proactive from them. They finally came out to do the work about a month after the original visit, partly because their responses had to be scheduled around their personal vacations. On the day when they came to do the work, I had to be at work myself and couldn't stay home, and couldn't watch the work. When I came home, they were gone, and I saw that the dog door was installed inside out (it was clearly shown on the instructions that came with the door). The garage window was horizontal, but they installed it vertically. When I got home, I called the owner to ask if he would correct these problems. He did send someone back the next day to fix it (which I was glad that he was agreeable to that, but it required me to miss more work). We decided to leave the dog door inside out as is (I was afraid that it would not seal firmly if we took it out and put it back in the other way), but they fixed the window. Although the window is now horizontal, there is a visible patch from where the hole had been cut vertically.
After this was done (and they were paid in full), I discovered another problem -- a phone line running next to one of the door jambs they were working on had been cut, which was confirmed by ATand T. To repair it would require ATand T to cut a hole in my floor, which I didn't want to do. The owner of Top to Bottom ignored my communications about this issue. So now I am missing what used to be my primary phone in the house.
The inside doors were bare wood, so I needed to paint them, which I did a few weeks later. They are Dutch doors (split in half, top and bottom). On one of the doors, they glued a piece of cardboard into the opening as a shim, so that the door would match up without a big gap. They put the latching hardware in the wrong place on one of the doors, changed it, and the patching on the door is clearly visible, even after painting. Since I didn't discover the door issues until several weeks later, and the owner failed to reply to my attempts to contact him about the phone line, I didn't even bother trying to contact them about this. Overall, it was a very mediocre experience.

My porch was very old. They redid it nicely making it enclosed. They listened to my needs and did an excellent job executing them. It is now a place that I will be able to use for a long time.

Top to Bottom Home Repair are trust worthy and they also have a division for roofing. They came into my house and they did such a good job. They were quick. They are very easy to work with and I felt very comfortable with them being in my home. Their prices are competitive.
