We submitted a request from the After Hours TV Repair website for service. We were called within the hour. My husband described the problems we are having with our tv. The man who called (can't remember his name) explained to my husband that he was relatively sure he knew what was wrong with our set and it would cost approximately $1200.00 to fix. Of course, we could buy a new one for that price. He offered to come out and look at it, but wanted to save us the $40.00 service call. He was courteous, honest and very professional. It is so refreshing to know there are still honest people out there. I would certainly call this company again and would recommend them to my family and friends.

He did an excellent job and saved us a bunch TV.

Our TV (60" Mitsubishi rear projection) had begun to have problems with jittering bands across the picture and taking a long time to warm up and have a picture bright enough to watch. We called and explained the problem and an appointment was made for that same day. Steve arrived on time and had researched our particular model and brought what he needed to repair it. After checking the unit out he made the repairs in just a few minutes. The problem was not only gone, the TV had as good a picture as when it was new some 12 years ago. Professional, courteous, and very knowledgable.

Our TV would come on then immediately turn itself off. We called After Hours TV based on the recommendations from Angie's list. Steve Sowell came to our home, took the TV off the wall, removed the covers and diagnosed the problem. While checking out the problem, he took the time to explain what he was doing. He gave us an estimate of what it would cost to replace the burned out inverters. When the parts came in he made another appointment to put the inverters in. The TV works perfectly. What I liked about this service was Steve Sowell came at night to do the work as opposed to making an appointment during the day. For folks that work during the day, this is very convenient. I also liked the fact that he did the repairs in our home as opposed to "having to take the set to the shop." I left a message for Steve and he returned my call promptly. He was able to schedule for later in the afternoon and complete the repair correctly without any issues. Very friendly and I would use Steve again and definately recommend to friends.

After Hours offered some of the best service I have received from any service industry provider in a very long time. He was utterly honest when, after spending nearly two hours trying to repair the television, he told us that he thought the new part would not last over a year. How tremendous of him to let us know, especially considering that his warranty is for about 90 days! In addition, he even helped suggest new television sets for me and urged me to buy a warranty because of the high cost for repairing the sets we were considering. Wow!!! I wish more people out there had his level of integrity and professionalism.

Steve came in less than 24 hours. The color on my four year old Sharp Aquos 45" flat panel TV was way off -- seemed to have no blue in it. I'd fooled with the controls, as had others, without success. I thought the TV itself lacked blue pixels, and that I'd have to buy a new one or settle for never seeing the right colors. In about 30 minutes, Steve figured out what was wrong and fixed it. He showed me a few tricks about how to get the best picture and best color. I now have the best picture I've seen on a TV anywhere. I was thrilled with the outcome, professionalism, honesty, and quickness of this service. I will definitely call him again and recommend him to anyone needing TV repair.

My large flat screen would not turn on. I had called another company that was listed first on Angie's List. They did not seem to want to fool with me....must bring it in, can't get parts, call first so we will be in the office, etc. So I called Steve at After Hours. He apologized for not being able to come the day I called!! Then he scheduled me for a time that was most convenient for me. He arrived exactly on time, checked out my TV, and replaced the defective part. I was so happy with the entire service. I will definitely call him again in the future.

Our televisions were damaged by lightning. The insurance company required that a TV repair person evaluate the two larger flat screen tvs and provide repair estimates or declare them unrepairable.The tvs had been purchased from Best Buy and installed by Geek Squad so we called them first. They sent one of their "qualified vendors," Audio Visual Specialists out of Decatur AL. They charged $120 for the call by a guy who didn't even look at the tvs and was not professional AT ALL. It was NOT a good experience. I then went to Angie's List and choose After Hours TV Repair to try again. Steve Sowell came that afternoon. He was very professional and knowledgeable, completed the necessary evaluation and paperwork and was less expensive than the company sent by the Geek Squad. The insurance company choose to replace the tvs rather than to cover costly repairs so I did not need to have After Hours do any work. However, based on this experience, I would feel very comfortable having After Hours do any work I need in the future.

Or TV was damaged in a lightening storm on a Friday night. We called that same night at approximately 7:30 pm and on Saturday morning After Hours TV Repair came out and diagnosed the problem as a damaged motherboard and informed us that the electrical surge had passed into the TV via the HDMI port. The part was ordered the following Monday and installed on Thursday. After Hours was very professional and extremely knowledgeable!

I am so glad that I called After Hours TV Repair. I was told by others that my TV needed a part that would cost me the price of a brand new television. After speaking with Steve and giving him the information and problems that I was having with my TV, he immediately said that it may be something else. So, he came to check it out and fixed the problem without having to replace that expensive part. Not only that, but he repaired another TV that we thought was on it's last leg. He looked at it and repaired it within 30 minutes. We were going to buy two brand new big screen televisions until he came through. After Hours saved us over $2000. Both of our TVs show the same quality picture like when we first bought them. If you need your tv repaired, I strongly recommend After Hours TV Repair. Awesome Job! Thanks Steve.

A part was needed which was likely to arrive the next week, when I was due to start a new job. Somehow he called around and managed to find the part in town and came out the next day to install it to work with my schedule. This was the first time this tv has had a problem since I bought it and it has a great picture so I won't replace it until repairs are more than a new tv! TV has been perfect since the repair so obviously he made the right diagnosis, and even managed to reconnect all my dvr's and vcr's correctly. Very, very satisfied.

He reminded us of a Costco warranty that we had on the TV. He could have repaired the TV and gotten the job, but instead he told us about the warranty and helped us load up the TV. He only charged us for the service call. He was professional and timely.
