I bought an item to be personalized but the incorrect spelling was done on the item. I pointed it out to the woman and she became immediately defensive and said that was what the paperwork showed. I showed her on the paperwork the two different letters and she saw the difference in the letters on the paperwork and knew it was their mistake but she was very angry and took it to the front of the store to show the owner and ask what to do. When she came back the paperwork had been changed to make it the same as what had been imprinted. I was shocked. Instead of admitting they had made a mistake they made it look like it was my fault for approving incorrect spelling. Their demeanor was hostile and rude as they insisted repeatedly that it was MY error and they would not correct it. I argued over and over that the paperwork had been changed but they denied it hotly. When I got home I realized I had the original carbon copy with my receipt showing the original spelling of my name and that it had indeed been correct on the paperwork all along. There is no question they altered the paperwork. None.
The owner did imprint a new item for me with the correct spelling but only after much arguing. I suppose in their mind they fixed the problem by replacing the item but there is no excuse for such unethical behavior. If I had not stood my ground there is no doubt in my mind they would have made me buy a new item to imprint or keep the incorrect one and cut my losses.

Company did not do custom lettering and designs as they advertised. Owner of the company admitted that the work was not as listed in the catalog of designs, but would not refund money for poor work. Attempts by store to "improve" lettering and designs were actually worse than original work. Owner basically refused to correct the problem, and refused to refund money. Said he had had similar experiences with custom work customers who were dissatisfied, and that no one had sued him successfully yet. Owner basically took my money and gave me an inferior product.
