Tennessee Tree Service

It has not gone well. They are now demanding more pay than what was agreed upon.

We hired Tennessee Tree Service to cut down a tree on our property. In our conversation, Mr. Haines said he would leave the property "looking like he was never there." That was Thursday, 12/11. We stressed the fact that, since the house is on the market, the lawn needed to to be clean for showings. Friday they were still cleaning up and, our mistake, we went ahead and gave him the check because he said he needed the money to pay the guy hauling some of the wood away. He said that by the end of Friday, 12/12, the property would be clean. When we went by Saturday morning, there were still very large piles of logs, branches, and debris still piled in front of the house, in the parking area. When called, Mr. Haines said that a neighbor had said she wanted the wood. When we contacted that neighbor, she said she told him she only wanted some of the kindling, there was no way she had the equipment to handle the larger logs left on the property. We spent the whole weekend desperately trying to contact Mr. Haines.
We paid Tennessee Tree Service to haul away the wood and clean up after themselves, not for them to say that some neighbors wanted the wood. When we called and texted him to please come get the wood, we received no response from him all of Saturday, and all of Sunday! It seems after he received his money, he was not going to honor his agreement. The agreement was for the work to be complete by Friday. He did not respond to our calls and texts until Monday morning, 12/15, after we heard from the city that we would be summoned to court for city violations due to the wood in front of the house. Mr. Haines never initiated any communication with us after he cashed our check and left us to try to find our own way to dispose of the massive amount of wood and debris. Some kind people came and took some of the wood and our family cleaned up the property until someone, I guess Tennessee Tree Service, came Monday late afternoon and took the rest. Two pavers in the parking area were broken during the removal of the wood.

We would not use Tennessee Tree Service again. We feel that they took our money and would never have finished the job without our constant calling and texting.

They were excellent. I would recommend them to anybody that needs tree service. They made me a good deal for what they did. They were very punctual, they showed up on time. They did what they said they were going to do and went above and beyond what I actually thought they would do. They left everything in really good shape when they left. They've done a really good job. They were friendly.
