About us
Handiwork Services is a sole proprietorship. I have been a licensed general contractor in TN since January, 2008. My license is active as is my liability insurance. I have over 20 years experience in residential and commercial construction as a carpenter. I perform or oversee most of the work myself. I use subcontractors that are reliable, reasonable and do quality work, if I can't do the work myself. I never spread myself so thin that I can't oversee critical phases of construction on my projects. Payment schedules for contract jobs are flexible, but I generally require 30-45 percent of total costs up front to cover material, labor and trash haul-off for the first week. The final draw of 10 percent is typically withheld until the customer's or architect's punch list is completed. All estimates are free, and look for my coupons. I will work by the hour if you prefer, and will work with the customer to help you defray costs and derive some of the reward of accomplishment.
