We have used Bob for the past two years or so and he has never let us down. His work is exceptional and we appreciate his suggestions and honesty. We definitely recommend Bob to do your projects.

The work was very slow, besides that the quality and sloppiness is terrible. I've had to spend big money to hire someone to clean up the mess. I don't have a big bathroom, and it took him 5 weeks to get as far as I did, even with extra help.

"First of all [Member Name Removed] did not have to pay any extra money. At the end I brought in another tile setter to help me with the final clean up. He was paid with my money. My grouter left excess grout on tiles because when tiles are wet you can't see grout on tiles I also over grouted on the pebble flooring but myself and another tile setter spent an substantial amount of time fine tuning. We removed all excess grout , re caulked all corners and seams and resealed all natural stone with an enhanced sealer that gave it a wet look She was satisfied and paid in full [Member Name Removed] had a horrible design idea for shower area I essentially redesigned the project with her approval and improved the over all value and appearance tremendously Then she decided to eliminate beadboard around her soaking tub and install same tile around it. I also came up with a design for this which included a nice natural stone shelf. Of coursei this extra project added additional time to over all bath remodel I had a lot of demo work I had to, remove vanity and full wall mirror, cut up garden tub and remove and gut and remove total shower area including pan, walls, glass walls and shower door and drain I then reconstructed total shower area with wall to wall bench, extended walls and built half walls with curb and shower door opening in center It was a total design change which of course took some time. I then had to install new drain and new shower pan I installed a niche in her wall with much time consuming detail . I installed a natural stone shower floor and bench top seat and capped off half walls with natural stone. I also capped off the shelf I designed for tub area with natural stone [Member Name Removed] chose a Spanish 8" x8" wall tile for walls These tiles are concave. The four sides are all different thickness. Not an easy install. I had to work each one individually after troweling thin set on walls I had to back butter each tile I had to do this process for entire shower walls up to a 9 foot height. Very tedious and slow going None of my work had to be redone We simply had to spend some additional time doing a thorough grout clean up. If I didn't get involved in the design process [Member Name Removed] would have half the quality remodel that she now has and , of course, the improved design added additional labor to project"

It did not go well. He knew from the beginning that it was a slow custom job. I'm pretty sure I made that point clear from the beginning. I also explained that I wanted it really nice when it was finished, however slow he needed to go to make that happen. I even offered to pay him by the hour so he wouldn't lose money on the job. I talked with him early during the install to express my feeling about how I didn't like the way it was going. How I was worried that he wasn't following the drawn out plans provided. I didn't want him to get all the way finished before I said anything. I said something on the first day. He said it would all look good when he finished and that I needed not to worry. I took his word, but learned in the end he was wrong. There were large holes in the joints where the grout did not go in. It's like he made it too thick or he couldn't see very well. There was lots of grout build up in the corners on top of my new granite. He also never cleaned the front of the tile. There was still a very thick layer of grout on the face. See pictures. One thing that seemed unprofessional was that he wanted payed every day he came to work. So I'd have to make sure I had enough cash for the day he was going to work. I had to write a check a few times, which he didn't like. I ended up hiring another contractor to come in and tear it all out and redo it. I had to buy all new materials and pay for the demolition. It looks very good now. I wouldn't recommend hiring him for custom work that needs to look very nice.

"[Member Name Removed] was the most particular customer I ever worked for After my first few days of install he sent me a detailed breakdown of how this tile was .001 something or other different than another one. I still don't know what mathematical language he was speaking. I had to cut hundreds of small tile pieces out of the large tiles he had purchased I explained to him that these tolerances were acceptable and that most tiles that are manufactured are not precise This is very typical. He was home ever day and never complained I did not request payments everyday. His wife handled the money end of things and she would ask me at times if I needed a payment They also payed me additional money on completion which I did not request or ask for We did try to coordinate me returning to clean up grout a little better and check for any voids I stayed in touch with his wife over returning but with the Holidays setting in she chose to delay it I contacted her again but never heard back Vernons only concern was grout. He never once mentioned to me about being dissatisfied with install"

"When [Member name removed] excepted my bid I told him it would be best if I start ASAP as I had a lot of projects lined up. He wanted to wait and it was a long wait Once I started he made no mention of time frame or a deadline. He would e mail me after I left and ask if I would be back the next week , not the next day but the next week. This became somewhat of a pattern with no complaining or reference to time frame. Job ways not easy. Bathroom walls and floor were in rough shape. Selected big tiles were very difficult to work with I totally gutted one bath. Did lots of electrical, plumbing, wall and floor tiles , painting , installing vanity and commode Installed two shower glass doors etc. Did a lot of work in another bathroom as well My schedule was also based on the availability of Walt' s boyfriend I could not get an early start and I had to shut down when he had to leave There was no mention of time frame for most of the job It was a very complicated job Very time consuming he always e mailed me and asked if I would be back in a week or so. , not the next day. Obviously I felt no pressure to dedicate all my time to his project He was well aware of the fact that I had other projects going on We were not really messy We always did a basic clean up Walt started to get overly picky going out of his way to find things to complain about. One example would be an e mail complaining about thin set mortar on his front storm door Next time we went ther I checked it out and had to point it out to my helper. There was a very small amount of mortar residue from us going in and out. One swipe of a rag and it was gone This job did not go very smooth but we gave him a good finished product I apologized to [Member name removed] and thanked them for their patience All in all. they were nice guys and I did everything [Member name removed] requested I am sure they are as happy as I am that the job is completed If [Member name removed] requested a time frame I am sure I would have done my best to obligate him There was no reference to completion date or time frame"

Update: The painting is now complete and the fence looks great. In addition, Bob came back to paint our trellis inside the fenced area so that it all looked uniform and fresh.

We had a fence post that had disconnected from the fence panel and it looked terrible, to make it worse we didn't know how to fix it. Bob and his crew fixed the fence post and fence panel in a day, for what I considered to be a bargain! Quick, clean and polite. I highly recommend turnkey for handyman work!

Very stressful - not so good! Before you agree to let him do work for you take a look into the back of his van. He is very unorganized. He is a very SLOPPY worker and disrespectful of your property.

"This review is LUDICROUS, so absurd it's laughable Meanwhile, until I find patience to waste my time responding to this nonsense if any of you are considering hiring me and this may be putting doubt in your mind. Please call and I will relate full details of this project. He got a job transfer Called me to do many projects. Told him I would look but that I was very busy like everyone else. I looked I made phone call after phone call. Called on some favors and got all the necessary subcontractors lined up. Job went smooth. Very little disruption in there life style. They only went without kitchen stove and sink for one day She couldn't handle it. Had a hard time coping. Very difficult to work for I work with my hands. He works with his mouth he was a pain in the [removed language]. Constant text messages and voice mails over and over again over nothing. The job went great. Everything was done professionally. We squeezed them in and THEY NEVER EVEN SAID THANK YOU. THEY NEVER EVEN SAID THANK YOU By the way. I ' m the one who told him I was Stressed which in my profession means. challenged, a lot going on. lots of people to try and keep happy. I told him I was stressed as an excuse. He kept saying"Do me a favor Bob( what a [removed language]line that is) Let's sit down and talk for fifteen minuets. Been There ! Of course he was going to do all the talking. 99 44/100% of the time this is an attempt to beat contractor out of money or try to get him under his thumb.or both We had already come to agreement on scope of work and price. In fact I dropped my price substantially to help them out So there seemed to be no logical reason for me to waste my time watching his jaws flap and listen to his [removed language]. First attempt. I told him I was to stressed to waste time. Second time I looked him in the eyes and said"why would I want to stop work to sit down for fifteen minuets. I don' take lunch breaks. I don't even take coffee breaks. Is there a problem? Is something wrong?" He said no. I just shrugged it off with a shoulder motion. I actually think that is the reason for nonsense negative review. His way of thinking he got upper hand. LUDICROUS. This is his idiotic logic. "Bob's van looks unorganized today Therfore it must be unorganized all the time Therefore Bob must be a totally unorganized person Therfore Bob must run his business in an unorganized manner all the time". LUDICROUS. The real comical part is that just a day or two before he classified me as unorganized I told him that I spent 6 hours the day before reorganizing my van which I do when I can find the Time. I have more tools and equipment than you can shake a stick at! On most days I need to stuff in tools, equipment and stock for two or three jobs. But here's the real funny part! I just finished telling him that I bought expensive fiberglass shelving ( no rattles) for my Chevy van. Then the motor blew and bought my current van a Ford e350 extended body I continued to tell him that the Chevy shelving didn't fit In my Ford but that my guys had volunteered to help modify them to fit when we could find the time. Where is this guy coming from? Oh by the way, if you are considering hiring me but want to look at the inside of my van first I would be glad to meet you out in front of [removed member name]house so you can take a peek. Sloppiness ? We did not have to do anything twice Disrespectful of property? Totally false statement. Not one complaint about that AMEN"

Quality of work was well below my expectation. Bob was quick to cash my $2000 check for the down payment. I fired Bob after less than 1/3 of the total project was poorly done.

Bob came out, listened to what i wanted and then contacted the supplier in Florida. He provided me with an estimate that included all materials and labor. He said he was willing to try it as it might be something that others in our area would be interested in. Based on my research his price seemed fair.
He did all the measurement, communicated with the supplier, installed the shutters and they look and work great.
Bob is busy. There are times when i had to contact him to get him out. He ran into some technical issues with the remote control that controls the shutters but to his credit he stuck with it until they worked perfectly. And this was AFTER he had been paid in full for the job. I am pretty sure he did not make much profit on my job.
I feel like he is a honest, hard working and busy small business man who knows how important a great reputation is in his field of work. Because he is on his own he has to work a little harder on the communication and follow up but I do think he is doing the best he can at this time.
I have already contacted him about a couple of other jobs.

Bob Mogan is a very trustworthy guy and easy to work with. He is in great demand so being patient until he can schedule you is worth the wait. His price is reasonable and he does most of the labor himself, so what he says he will do gets done right. We appreciated his flexibility and personal attention. You can tell he cares about pleasing people...so we were happy to wait until it was our turn on his schedule.
Our basement guest room and bath were basically "gone" and he was able to rebuild it to our instructions and even made some improvements - all within budget. We supplied all materials and just needed to hire someone to do the labor so he did rough carpentry, installing complex shower surround/jacuzzi, plumbing, electrical, drywall, some trim, etc. - all were very satisfactory.
We would definitely use him again, and we felt comfortable leaving him unattended while working in our home, etc. Just an all-around good experience.

Bob did a beautiful job. We are pleased with the final look. We had one concern and he returned in less than 24 hours to resolve it. This is not the first job that Turnkey has done for us. Bob has always been here timely and never finished until we approved the work. We have already scheduled him for another job. once again, I recommend him to family and friends.
