I've been using them for about 9 years. My hairdresser is excellent there. She's really good. The decors are modern. It's just very relaxing. They're a little expensive.

I was told there was a cancellation and could get a haircut at 12:30 p.m. (I called at 10:30 am.) I hurried to get to the salon by 12:25. I waited after 10 minutes, I asked and was told that she would be ready in 5 minutes. It was 1p.m. and there was no sign of me being waited on. I finally left, after wasting my time and no haircut. The service was horrible, for a $62.00 haircut you would think they would be more professional. Supercuts is better run, at least there you know you wait to your turn.

Never heard back from the salon. Guess they don't care for my business. Don't recommend it.

I LOVE Patience!! She is an excellent stylist, and being a stylist myself (I'm not currently in a salon right now) I don't trust just anyone with my hair. She does an amazing job and I won't go anywhere else. I have extremely fine hair and she gave me a haircut that compliments the texture of my hair which creates a look of fullness I otherwise would not have. She rocks!! :)
P.S.- I've never had so many compliments! Even my mother liked it......which isn't normal... :)

Studio Gavan is a really high-end place. I went there because I have hair turning gray and I want help with making that transition. I ended up deciding that I don't need all the sophistication you get from a place like this. If you are a young or middle age professional woman who can afford the polished look they provide, then you need Studio Gavan. I'm a bit older and don't need to impress anybody quite in that way. I just want nice healthy hair and help with going gray. This is also a Redken salon, and they really push the products on you.



The smartest thing they've done, though, is provide an affiliated salon that has a la carte service. I forget the name of it, but it is virtually next door. I think it's just called The Studio. I paid for a shampoo and deep conditioning, a good haircut (trim) and she let me out the door with wet hair, which is frankly all I wanted. I was very pleased!!

I was greeted at the door in a friendly manner. A hair stylist came to the front to escort me back to her station. Overall my experience was pleasant but I must say the hair cut and style was not up to par for the amount of money I was charged. I did voice my concerns and the Salon manager was friendly, professional and addressed my concerns in a satisfactory manner.

They are excellent. She does a fantastic job. She listens to you and does what you want. She has great skills. I will continue to go there in the future.

I am new to the area and this was my first visit to this salon. The stylist met with me to assess my current hairstyle and coloring and determine what I was looking for. She asked great questions and we agreed on a look. I really appreciated this in-depth interview before she started working on me. She was kind and attentive throughout the long coloring process. Her attention to detail during the cut was great. I love the coloring and feel of my hair after this visit. I felt truly pampered and have already scheduled my next appointment. The salon was very clean for such a busy place and the staff were professional, courteous and helpful.

I visited Studio Gaven and saw Patience Barton. I have been looking for a stylist that specializes in non-chemically treated ethic hair and I am so happy I received this referral. She was friendly, put me at ease, and extremely talented. Today I have received so many compliments and I plan to go back very six weeks or more. She was so knowledgable. After leaving Atlanta 5 years ago, I have been searching high and low for a new hair stylist... I think my search is over! From the moment I walked in, Patience assured me that anything that she did was my decision. As my appointment went on I felt comfortable enough that I was willing to do what she thought would be best.

Very friendly and helpful. Never felt rushed but did feel pampered and for those prices I expected a little of that.

They are like the best place. They have been voted number one in Williamson County or Nashville for years. They are excellent.

The people are very friendly. The girl who does my hair is fantastic. I have been using her for several years and she is great and very professional. The staff is very polite and friendly each other. It is just a really neat atmosphere. Some people would argue with me about their price, but for me, the price is good. The quality of the work and professionalism are topnotch. I never had to wait for them. I would use them again in the future too.

Overall, it was okay. I took a picture from a magazine with me the first time that I went there, which showed the color that I liked (dirty blonde with platinum blonde highlights, left dirty blonde underneath). Basically, I needed highlights to make my hair look like the picture; my natural color gave me the base color that was in the picture. My color turned out very close to what I wanted and the stylist told me what he needed to do the next time to get the color right. However, it took the stylist several visits to get the color exactly the way I wanted. It took eight visits (x $150-$180) for my stylist to get my color right and I LOVED it that one time! At my next appointment, I told my stylist that I wanted it EXACTLY how it was done the previous time, but it didn't happen. My appointment was always for a color and trim, but usually there wasn't enough time allotted for the trim. I continued to go back to Studio Gaven each time simply for the atmosphere, overall service of the salon, and the fact that my stylist was REALLY nice. He just didn't pay attention and my hair never turned out the same. It didn't turn out bad, just not the way that I wanted. There were also several times when I asked my stylist to recommend a new cut for me and he just told me that it was up to me. The prices at Studio Gaven are extremely high, before adding on a tip, so I expected to get excellent service. I can't believe they charge the same to trim dead ends off as they do to cut a completely different style. So, after nine visits and only one experience that I would consider completely worthy of my $180, I decided to find another salon.

They do a really good job, especially when it comes to the color.
