Yesterday I had my hardwoods and tile cleaned. On first glance, everything looked fantastic. We stayed out of the house for three hours before peeking back in, and again, things looked great. They called back to say he'd forgotten to polish the stairs and could I call them back at my convenience. Sure--no problem! Then I went upstairs to our master bath and upon closing the door, noticed that the tile behind both doors hadn't been cleaned. The difference is quite noticeable this morning as the grout in the areas cleaned has lightened. This morning I came down around 6:00 a.m. and walked into our kitchen where I found a huge white streak by my kitchen sink. I looked around and noticed several of them around the edges of our cabinets, door frames, etc. I had cleaned out all the closets and left the doors open so they could be done, but found more white marks that went up to the edge of the doors. I looked inside and it's evident those areas were not cleaned either. My current count of spots is 21, many that are extremely large, all over the entire lower level. So I started taking pictures and as I did, noticed that the finish had been splashed up on my walls and as I walked the area, found it had been splashed on every.single.wall. around the floors that were cleaned. I've wiped the walls three times now, and I can't get the residue off. Which means I now get to paint every.single.wall. it was splashed on. After I found it on the walls I went into my kitchen where my cabinets were just repainted and found that sure enough, it had been splashed onto the cabinets as well. I was able to get it off but it peeled the paint up. Now I get to pay the company a trip charge to come back out and fix those! I contacted Diane who said she didn't have answers but would get back to me. She told me the residue on the floor "may go away" as it cures, but if not they'd have to prep and recoat, and that if that's the case "it's not a big deal." Did I mention you need to leave your floors clear of furniture for 9 to 14 days to cure? And that I'm now looking at 18 to 28 days of curing time instead until this is fixed? And that I have four kids, a dog and a cat and an entire first level I really can't use?? They've said they're going to come out and fix the hardwoods, but that does absolutely nothing for the walls, the cabinets, my trim--all of that is now on me to fix AND at a cost to me. They claim they've "never had this issue" but it's quite a big one. The initial cost was $1566; but now add in $75 trip charge, plus paint, plus supplies, and of course, the time it will take me to repaint my main level. The carpet cleaning they did in February went well, which is why I hired them again. After this experience and the response they gave me this morning, I wouldn't hire them and I can't recommend them. Cost of service reflects total amount paid for carpet, hardwood, and tile cleaning.
