Wonderful. Great binder with everything documented including pictures. Flagged every questionable item so we were informed. Nothing has come out in two years after that I wasn't informed of during the inspection.

It was my first home purchase and I was totally new to the whole process and I came late to the inspection but my realtor was there the whole time with the inspector. I think because I wasn't there at the beginning he thought he could cut corners. He missed a lot of very simple things like saying outlets were non-functioning when they were just hooked up to a light switch, and he didn't go in the attic; claiming it was an unsafe hatch (which it's your typical closet attic access, I and my father who's over 50 have gone up into the attic multiple times with no problem.) About 10 months later after buying the home we had a problem with the light and outlet in the bathroom which eventually led us to the attic. What did we find??? TONS of wire splices and junctions that were LAYING in the insulation in the attic. A HUGE FIRE HAZARD! It was a very inexpensive problem (less than $10) but could have had catastrophic results.
Overall my experience with Pillar to Post is that they're employees are lazy and do not do their job thoroughly.

The type of inspection we agreed upon included infrared sensors that helped locate leaks and water issues in the house. Jerry was very thorough and our real estate agent said he took his time (longer than average) giving the house a good inspection. He was in the attic, the crawl space and everywhere in-between. We are from out of state so he emailed us the inspection (51 pages) later the same day with pictures and detailed notes on what he uncovered. He even took the time to call us to answer our questions and make sure we understood the report. We were very happy we went with the inspection that included the infrared sensor as it uncovered some water problems in the walls that might not have been detected otherwise. Jerry arrived right on time and inspected the house I am looking to buy, both a visual inspection and a radon test. As a first time home buyer, I had plenty of questions which Jerry was very helpful in answering. He told us what the main issues with the house were (possible structural damage, etc) as well as minor things. He also gave suggestions as to how things could be fixed, like where to install attic vents and how to put screens on crawlspace vents. Jerry was great, and I would definitely recommend him for home inspections!

We were very happy with Jerry's thoroughness in inspecting our home. We were able to take care of some minor problems before listing our house on the market. They also provided a great notebook detailing the inspection, which we plan to give to the new homeowners.
