Very friendly and helpful!

Courteous and good service, but I found a cheaper insurer.

This is a great auto insurance company. I have used them for a little over two years now and i'm very happy with them. Their prices are reasonable and i never have issues.

my company has a program with MetLife for employees to pay through payroll deduction and receive a discount. I currently have MetLife for Auto. Now my primary home insurance is coming up for renewal and since Travelers' increased by my premium by 23% since last year, I'm shopping around. I called MetLife and it took me 3 tries to get through their automated system. I didn't like me when I said I was looking for a quote, it didn't like it when I gave my current auto policy #. Finally got through to a person and then was transferred to a sales person. These people were very helpful and polite. I explained what I was looking for and then spent the next 35 minutes providing every detail of my home and personal information. Then she offered an umbrella policy, which I do currently use and got into all the details of my rental property at which point she added a few additional questions about the tenants, such as did they have dogs and one does (a cocker spaniel, which apparently is fine). This triggered the realization she had not asked those questions of my primary residence. And, yes, we do have a dog - he's an 11-year mutt that we rescued from the city pound 9 years ago. He is a border terrier mix, with a little chow in him and apparently that is unacceptable. Because of him, MetLife cannot insure our house! Wow- remarkable that 1.) a whole class of dogs and any mixes, even, disqualify a home as uninsurable; 2.) that if it is a deal-breaker, they don't ask that at the start; 3.) if border terrier is okay, but chow is not - what's the percentage split? This all reeks of discrimination and as a supporter of animal rescue groups, it gives me a feeling of dread to know there is one more obstacle to those good people who can adopt a pit bull or pit mix, as there are SO many in the pound and shelters these days due to ignorant people breeding them.
I'm now also shopping for a new auto insurer!
