We have had 2 great experiences with Joslin. I called them after noticing a leak between our bathroom and laundry room. They were able to get someone out within only a few hours. When the plumber arrived we quickly identified the source of the leak and fixed it. Courteous and professional throughout.

We were anticipating that the technician would need to replace the cracked toilet flange, but instead he was able to quickly screw on a metal bracket to reinforce the existing cracked flange. The Good: The "technician" was professional, knowledgeable, polite and efficient. We had told the dispatcher we were not in a hurry, yet they still had someone at our house within 90 minutes of our call. The Bad: The price seemed excessively high. We were charged $201 for labor alone for one technician on a job that was finished in well under an hour (the cost of a few repair parts was on top of the $201 in labor). We live just 4 miles from their office and we called on a weekday morning so distance or day-of-week doesn't explain their high labor fees. We had asked in advance what the cost might be, but the dispatcher simply said it would be "time and materials".

Great! Highly recommend. Drew responded immediately to my inquiry, came next day for review of work and estimate - we felt very comfortable with him and most importantly felt he was honest on the overall scope of work and needs. Work was promptly scheduled and they accommodate around my job. On day of work, our plumber was prompt, professional and courteous - we felt he knew exactly what he was doing. We will be having them back to do some future work for new toilet installations and possibly a new sink and faucet. I have found my plumber of choice!

They are our regular people that we use all the time. They came right away within an hour. They had come out the time before and told us about it, and they tried one thing and that didn't work. They were very upfront about it and we decided that we needed to have this issue fixed, and it worked just fine.

We've used Joslin before and have always liked their service men who have been professional, timely, and courtous.  On this occasion I'd put in a call the day before and received a call back that evening on my voicemail to let me know the plumber would be out first thing the next morning for the repair - speedy service!  Gave them a A for responsiveness.  The next morning  I was working at home on a conference call and had not paid attention to time.  I had expected the plumber sometime around 8 but had to get on my conference call and thought I would get a phone call when they pulled up in the drive as I have in the past.  Instead about 9:30am our dog started barking so I knew something was up and walked past the front of the house to see the plumber had arrived and was out at the curb just beginning to dig up the area around the meter that was leaking.  I was surprised he was later than expected - thus the B for punctuality.  And, I was really surprised I'd not gotten a call when he arrived to let me know he was on the job.  I went out to touch base with him about the process and asked if he had my phone number in case he needed to call me outside to discuss what he found - he told me he didn't have my number but would have the office call me if needed.  Ok - not the norm, but acceptable.  Then 20 minutes later I realized he had cut the water off - Ok, I really should have been expecting that but a reminder from the plumber would have been nice before it was done.  I intermittently went out to check with him about the job.  The only time he approached the front door was when it was time for me to sign off on the invoice.  The problem stemmed from a connecter right at the meter that had rusted through.  So he replaced that with a new "male connector".  He told me he didn't have a female connector to use on the PVC pipe that ran up to the house so he put another male connector on that and joined the two using PEX piping that he expanded (with a really cool drill attachment) then allowed to shrink back down onto the ends of each male connector to form a join. Not the repair I would have expected but it appears to have fixed the problem. While he was on the job another Joslin employee came by to check on the job progress.  The working plumber had already exposed the leaking part, which required digging a three foot hole, when the other man came by, which kind of made me wonder why he didn't bring a female connector.   So while overall I gave them an A for fast response and having got the job done in a timely fashion -  it took 3 hours from arrival to when the plumber drove away.  However I would have preferred their usual punctuality and good communication so I scored them a B in this instance on those two aspects.  Honestly I think this situation was unusual for them - at one point the plumber working on the job mentioned that he'd taken over the job for one of his colleagues who was not feeling well that morning.  We have liked their service and honestly in the past and will call them again.

i own rental property. the renters said the shower faucet was running and they couldn't stop it. I called Joslin since my regular plumber couldn't make it right away. Joslin was able to go right there. I never met the plumber, just my renters did. they said he was nice and fixed the problem. I will definately use them again.

I have used Joslin since 1999 when my family relocated here from CA.
I have used Joslin for yearly Maintenance of my AC unit., plumbing issues etc.
In 2013 we put in 2 new AC units we originally only had 1. The only reason we went with a different company was because the other company helped us in donating our 1 unit that was still useable.
Their price was comparable to the company we ended up going with.
I have had many dealings with Joslin and have always been treated fairly. It was unfortunate that they did not honor the maintenance contract but I understood since it was over a year old.
I have recommended them to family, friends and neighbors.
I will continue to use them and recommend them in the future.
I have always found them to be friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, fair and reasonably priced .
They have been in business in Franklin for years and I believe they are family owned.
I rated their punctuality good since they sometimes run behind schedule due to unforeseen issues. However that being said they will call to let you know that they are running behind and when they can be expected.
Give them a try I don't think you will be disappointed.

The technician was on time, courteous and seemed to know what he was doing. There ended up being a small leak in the solder that was hidden for several days before we discovered it. When we contacted Drew, at Joslin Plumbing, he came out right away...within an hour. He had the plumber come out to do the repair and immediately had Case Restoration come out to try to dry up anything that got wet with their giant dehumidifying machines. Everyone involved was professional and efficient with their tasks. We ended up having to replace tile so it turned into a major job but I cannot say enough about how well it was all handled. Mistakes will happen with any company but I think the real value is in the company that owns the mistake and makes it right. I have told several people already about how impressed I have been with Joslin and all the people they have had come out to do any repairs. Again, whenever there was a problem, it was recognized and taken care of by experts. I give Joslin Plumbing my highest review and we will call them whenever we have need of a plumber.

A joke from the beginning. Workers showed up day one with no clue what their job was. I had to hire my own electrician to get a live wire they left laying on my garage floor while they attempted to install a hot water heater. A dog was injured from the wire. Late that night long after they had left my electrician helped me finish the hot water install. Day 2 apparently William aka Bubba showed up and let them know what they were actually there for. Couple days later they were finished.

A week later I get a bill for $4600. We discussed $2600 for the drain and around $1000 to replace hot water heater. I got no explanation what anything was. I send a check for $3600 which is what we discussed and marked it paid in full with a note saying the bill total is not what we discussed. If the bill was going to be higher wouldn't you inform your customer?I still have not been told what the extra charges are and it looks like they plan on intending to keep billing me. I also have a problem with the fact their worked sat in their truck for 3 hourson the last day of the job because as they told me they were tired and didn't want to go to another job. Was this what I was billed for?


My advice, never use this place.
