My parents used what they thought was a “reputable” company to put their new roof on in 2012. Fast forward, my mother recently had to file an insurance claim due to some major water leaks in the ceiling. (Catching water in buckets) Insurance told my mother that this roof was put on INCORRECTLY and insurance would not be able to cover a new roof. My mother had a second company come out to look at the roof and was also told it was put on incorrectly. My mother had someone from T & L Roofing to come take a look at the roof. T & L admitted most of the roof was put on wrong from the get go by their workers. My mother was told on the phone by one of the owners that it is a “bad financial time of year”. My mother has tried to compromise on resolutions with her. T & L was only offering $500 toward the cost of an entire new roof which is a total cost of approximately ~$14,700. That’s not even 4% of what their mistake is going to cost my mother out of her own pocket! The T & L Roofing’s Mission on their Facebook page reads: “To do the job using quality materials with quality workmanship. Quality lives on after the price is gone.” They say quality is a part of their mission, but this quality did not exist on my mothers roof. While I understand workmanship does expire on a roof after so many years, this was wrong from day one. It didn’t happen over years of wear and tear. This company installed this roof incorrectly. For a company to admit they did a customer wrong but not go the extra mile to make it right is not a company I would ever recommend someone to use!

"We installed this roof in November of 2011, a 20 yr. 3 tab roof with a 5 year workmanship guarantee. After a storm in January 2020, her mother called about leaks, another roofing company had tarped PART of the FRONT of her home and the chimney. They had told her that the shingles were installed incorrectly, or high nailed. One of my lead men was there to meet with the insurance adjuster, I do not know if the insurance adjuster will pay anything for the FRONT of her home, as this is where the leaks were. The shingles that had blown off were slightly high nailed, but still connected with the shingle underneath. She and I had several conversations. Some involving a letter from her lawyer, to other things that I would rather not mention. Her compromise kept getting smaller each time and mine staying the same. I did offer to reflash her chimney and repair where the shingles had blown off, approximately $500.00. She wanted me to replace the ENTIRE ROOF, which had a 20 yr 3 tab roof, to reroof with architectural shingles, including shingle over ridge vent for less than the quote of the other roofer. I could not do that. I offered to take off the $500.00 off of his bid. This was not acceptable to her. When I would not do as she wanted, she said for me to get ready, within a week, the bad reviews would start. And they started the same day. I truly wish that none of this had to happen. There is more to this than has been written here."

Teresa, the owner, was thorough in the price quotation explanation and details of the project. The workmanship and craftsmanship executed by the very professional crew was exemplary. Timely, neat, and very courteous. I could not have asked for anything more. HIGH recommendation!
