Very responsive and courteous

I hired Joseph to replace the worn out screws in my metal roof, install flashing and build a cricket at the chimney, replace the boots around the pipes on the roof and clean the roof and 2 short gutters. For this work I had to wire to his bank the $3100 he charged for this service. I donâ t live there full time and can not climb onto the roofâ ¦facts he took full advantage of as NOTHING other than blowing off the roof was done. That made it look as though he had been up there and give the impression the work had been done. My husband had just died 4 months prior to this so I had to rely on Josephâ s integrity to do what he said he would do and was paid to do as there was no one but me dealing with him. Well, he took this old ladyâ ¦what a fine man he is. Now, because the work he didnâ t do went undetected for 3 years, I am dealing with rot and mold both inside and outside my cabin. Every rain, every snow melt has leaked into the roof and down the inside of the walls creating damage that is costing my $$$$$ to have repaired. I contacted Joseph via email as soon as the problem was discovered and he actually responded asking for my mailing address so he could refund my $3100, which will not put a dent into the cost of the repairs Iâ m now facing. I had 5 different contractors give me estimates for repairs and every one of them got on my roof as part of generating their price, and every one of them said the work that Joseph said he did was in fact not done. Some took pictures to verify what they found. Not one screw was replaced, not one boot was replacedâ ¦not only that, the boot around the pipe that lead all the electrical wires into the breaker box had a huge hole in it from rotting it was so old. Imagine the damage from all the water pouring in through that for 3 years. So that was my experience using Joseph Placher Roofing. Oh, and the refund he said he would send has not come yetâ ¦2 weeks after he said he would send it. If it does show up in my mailbox Iâ ll let you know.

Joe and his crew did an excellent job repairing some shoddy workmanship from an original metal roof installation. He was very communicative about when he could be here and kept me updated Re weather delays. Came out same day I had requested a quote. Will definitely work with him again.

I was planning on putting on a new asphalt shingle roof but when Joe came over for an estimate he recommended a metal roof would be less costly due to the simple roof lines. I thought a metal roof which I actually preferred would be cost prohibitive but it was within my budget and I went for it. Joe worked around my schedule and took only 1 day to install it and we could not be happier! It's a family business and I enjoyed having the crew spend the day.....all good workers and great people!

If you are considering Joseph Placher for a project, I recommend you look elsewhere. The roofing does not require a license in Georgia, but major renovations do. Joseph Placher is unlicensed. I noticed the review which recounts how Joe cheated a customer on a major renovation. He will make promises he will never keep. The address listed for his business is fictitious. Our roof was in horrid shape. There was rotted wood. There was leaking. Probably one of the worst ever seen. Now it is gorgeous. Safe. Not leaking. We are able to move on to other exterior desperately needed projects, and if we need a professional for those projects, weâ ll call Joe first.

Very professional hard working team

Joe brought a professionalism to this project that is difficult to exceed. He did everything he said he was going to do in the time that he said he was going to do it. His assistants were orderly and professional and knew exactly how to do their jobs. He had the job completely figured in his mind before he ever got there. As a matter fact he came a day early to do extra measurements so that he would be ready. I highly recommend Joe Placher.

We hired Joe for major renovations. Many issues were noted in the quality of work but the most disappointing aspect is that Joe would ask for money in advance to purchase materials and then not purchase those materials. For example, we gave joe over $4,000 for flooring and wall materials. He shorted the materials and pocketed over $1,200. Even though he acknowledged the shortage and stated he would provide a check for the difference he never did. He did this for other items as well. We trusted Joe, only to find out the hard way that he couldn t be trusted.

Joseph and crew were timely and professional. We had a leak and Joseph immediately correctly identified the source and corrected the problem. I estimated the cost based on Home Advisor's site and the actual estimate was less than my estimate. We have already recommended him to two of our neighbors.

Joe came to diagnose my leaky roof problem the same day I called him. He and his brother came here today, right on time, cheerful. They brought all their own ladders and tools. What I thought was that rain was coming in around my vent fan but Joe figured out the problem was a sky light. They replaced shingles as needed. I was very impressed with Joe and would highly recommend to anyone who needs roof work.
