Happy Hounds Grooming

I have tried a number of other facilities to board my dogs.  Once I found Happy Hounds and Sarah Manser, I will never take my dogs anywhere else!  The short and sweet of it is that Sarah takes care of my babies just as I do.  They get plenty of exercise and attention, and her kennels are big, roomy, and clean.  I especially like the effort Sarah makes to get all of her four-paw'ed "guests" outside and playing. 
I live almost an HOUR away from Happy Hounds, but still, I wouldn't consider using another kennel for short OR long stays.  Happy Hounds is also very fairly priced!

Prior to making the decision to leave Mia with the Happy Hound staff, I asked if a family member could visit Mia to see that she was doing ok. The response was and quot;We are happy to have you visit at any time. My sister made random, unannounced visits during Mia's 3 week stay. On top of this I called Happy Hounds 3 to 4 times to inquire as to how things were going. Each visit/phone call was pleasantly received. My sister and her granddaughter were allowed to play with Mia and stay as long as they wished.
A discount was given on the daily boarding fee along with a free bath, since Mia was staying past 3 days. I also had an option for Mia to have play time with a staff member. Mia likes to be around people and she was placed in a location that let her see people coming and going on a daily basis. I didn't request this, the staff realized that she was happier in this location.

She was bathed on her first week there, and then bathed and groomed on her last day.
I was unable to go inside the shop when Mia was picked up and my sister had a boot on one foot due to a broken bone. The staff volunteered to bring Mia to our car along with her bed, toys and leftover food and treats (I had furnished these items).
I had called prior to our arrival and was given the total cost, which was less than I expected. When shown the bill I was told that they had given me an additional discount due to Mia's length of stay. Mia was happy and healthy, and so was I.
I'm having surgery this fall to replace the other hip joint and I will board Mia with Happy Hounds. The Happy Hounds business I selected is located in downtown Athens, Tennessee.

I have two active large dogs, and I would not leave my dogs anywhere but Happy Hounds! In fact, I live almost an hour away, but I am happy to drive the distance in order to know that my dogs are well cared for. Sarah Manser is just delightful...and her love for the animals is so clear. She is wonderfully knowledgeable, and I know that if either of my dogs got sick in my absence, she would totally have the resources necessary to care for them. The kennels are roomy and immaculate, and every dog has ample time for safe outdoor play. Sarah also offers a very reasonable option of taking the dogs to her large fenced acreage for more "serious" running and playing. Happy Hounds offers an equally impressive grooming service.The ABSOLUTE only negative to Happy Hounds is the entrance to the Kennel, which is fairly steep, and needs some aesthetic attention. Funny though, my dogs never noticed it! :) I could not be more pleased with Happy Hounds, and enthusiastically recommend them!
