Scott is one of the best handyman I've ever called for my business. There were two things needing to be done and he completed both jobs on schedule and did a neat job of everything. His cost is also very reasonable and I will definitely be calling him in the future!

We live out of state, so we weren't there when work was done. We have renters living in our home.We have not had anymore problems in our basement since French drain was installed.

Awesome! Scott is an great guy that works well and did a good job on both my houses. We have prob spent $60,000 remodeling our homes. Both my homes were a bit older so they needed a lot of work done. I called around for deals and Papes charged me nearly half. If you can imagine the type of work needed for homes that were built in 1956 and 1936 than you know there was work to be done.

Things were great. Work was done in a fair amount of time. Mr. Pape was friendly and professional.

Once we finally found a date that fit into both of our schedules, I had to call him at 5:00am, just hours before he was to be at my house, to cancel due to the birth of my grandson. He took the news very well, congratulating me and telling me not to worry about the short notice. He showed up right on time on the rescheduled date.
Once he removed the old door, he found that the brick on the house had been added, which I did not know, and he had to correct to correct the opening in order to be able to install the new door jamb. He did an excellent job and both doors looked better than I had expected. He didn't charge me any extra for the extra work he had to do to the house because of the siding. He came back the next day to install the trim around the door and showed up when he said he would. He noticed that I had an opening to the crawl space under my house and cut the old door to fit into the space and cleaned up after himself. I am very pleased with the way the doors look and work.
I have already asked him to quote on a couple of other jobs around my house.

Scott Pape was a pleasure to work with. We called for a bid on the job and he scheduled a day and time with us. He was on time.Within 10 days or so we had our bid and hired him. Scott hired someone to do the excavation for the egress window and put in a drain system to take any water away from the foundation. We would not have known this was needed. (We had another company come to bid it first, and he never even mentioned a drainage system.)

• Scott and his crew did a great job, and had the windows in and secured within 4 days. They showed up when they said they would.
• He framed up the inside and put in the window sills on both windows. He then had drywallers come in and do the mudding and taping. We wanted it ready-to-paint.

Scott gave us exactly what we wanted and answered any and all questions/concerns we had along the way. He is very knowledgeable and professional. How nice it was to have someone perform this work and tell us he will do whatever he needed to make sure we are happy and satisfied. Sometime in the future we would like to add-on to our deck. I can, without a doubt, tell you that Scott is the one we will be calling. Genuinely a nice guy! Thank you so much Scott. WE LOVE OUR NEW WINDOWS!!!!

After we were so pleased with Scott Pape's company we regretted that we hadn't known of him when we had our laminate flooring installed in the living room, dining room and hallway of our home. We had been told by the first contractor we could not install laminate on steps; I had been told otherwise. I called Pape's and he confirmed we could in fact. I ordered the laminate to match our existing floors; Scott Pape arrived as always on time. In one afternoon we had beautiful steps installed. When first viewing the project he had made a recommendation on stair nosing and had given us a couple of suggested merchants. His choices were perfect! When I had a small issue with one stairnose and quot;poppingand quot; he came out IMMEDIATELY, removed, reinstalled, and corrected the problem. In our opinion, that is far superior to someone that never has to address a problem; the fact he responds, listens, and corrects timely is indicative of his professionalism. I was so happy that while my husband was in the hospital for a scheduled procedure I had Pape's return and install laminate flooring in our master bedroom. He knew I was in a time constraint and again was prompt, removed all the furniture and carpeting, installed the flooring, rehung (and adjusted doors that had never worked properly for me) doors, and replaced my furniture.
I cannot say enought about the satisfaction of working with this company. I only regret we have about exhausted our remodeling needs but am so pleased that I have recommened him to our church building committee.

Excellent! We asked if the job we wanted was practical and feasible. Scott investigated, assured it would not be a problem with load-bearing issues, and made suggestions for our countertop. We selected a top and Scott coordinated installation with the delivery by the company. We have never had to worry about being left inconvenienced when using this company. He arrived on schedule, protected my furnishings, and began the removal of the existing wall area. He is conscientious about cleaning up behind himself and is respectful of one's belongings while working. He also does not settle for "just about right"; he measures, levels, and ensures the project is perfect.We could not be happier!

We noticed a stain on our ceiling in living room one day and phoned Pape's Handyman, asking him to stop in when in our area. He arranged to come the next day and went into the attic only to discover the previous roofer had done a poor job. He immediately patched the problem area and offerred to go on the roof to further investigate. He found numerous bad areas and several issues. We filed a claim with our insurance and Scott returned the day the adjuster came to meet with him. Once we were ready to replace the roof Scott searched for prices, reported back, and got us an excellent price on the metal room I wanted. He followed up to make certain the order was correct and that it arrived on time. He met the delivery team at our house on schedule, had his workers removing the old roof, and proceeded. When the caps were the wrong color he reordered the correct ones, picked them up, and returned at no charge to us. He prides himself on customer service. You are not just a quote and project, you are valuable to his reputation.

Pape's arrived on the day and time scheduled ready to work. They removed all furniture for us, removed the existing carpet to a dump facility, and cleaned and leveled the existing concrete. They treated for mold as we had excessive water damage. The ceramic tile was installed within a day and half; they then returned and grouted. Once completed all trim was installed. In the meanwhile we had discussed lighting so after the tile had set and before replacing all furnishings, Scott Pape installed new track lighting as well.
I never heard a complaint about the 6 bookshelves of books they replaced or the fact they worked around our many pets.
As with every other project we have contracted with them for, we couldn't be happier. Remodeling is not a 4-letter word any longer now that we have found this contractor!

As with every other project completed by this contractor, there were no problems and the end result exceeded our expectations.
Once again, Scott Pape delivered all materials, arrived on time, advised when he was breaking for lunch and was only gone about 30 minutes. He was courteous, didn't mind working among our many rescue dogs, and even hung a large heavy wall hanging for me as a courtesy when I asked for his help. The porch is beautiful and has become yet another room for our daily use. When we purchased a new outdoor fan he even stopped in and installed it as a favor to us! His work is beautiful; the quality is without measure.

The project went without problem. He was punctual, kept in contact with the general contractor, and stopped in between visits just to make certain all was going as he expected in the work leading up to and following his part. When we mentioned we needed a painter he was able to provide one for us at a very fair price, unmatched to the excellent quality of the work. He always made certain that anyone associated with his project was courteous, professional, and considerate of us and our home.

.As always with this company the job started on time, ran smoothly, was finished within projected schedule (even with changes we made) and was perfect. Scott listened to our wants and addressed our needs; he made constructive suggestions that made sense and only served to enhance the job. Our new porch is asthetically pleasing, very accomodating to our needs, and enhances the overal appearance of our home. Mid-way through the project my husband decided he wanted vinyl railings to match our existing vinyl fencing; Scott revamped his schedule, did not change the final price, and gave us a porch everyone comments on. He demands the same quality of service from his crew, leads by example, is punctual, and, best of all in my eyes, cleans up as he goes along and in great detail when he is finished.

In 5 decades of hiring contractors I have never had the peace of mind and satisfaction I experience each time we use this contractor; as a matter of fact, since first hiring him by luck, we have NEVER considered using anyone else.

Things went from good to poor because roofing was wrong type and leaked footers were not able to carry load because not enough concert new building out of square.

He took a look at my problem, gave me an estimate and and came back and resolved the situation.
