We live 900 miles away from this project. We made arrangements to meet with John and Ron while we were vacationing in Fairfield Glade. We will be moving to this home in another year and wanted to do some preparations for that move. We have small dogs and needed a fenced in area, and in New York we have a large deck and wanted the same in our new home. We heard about Lakeside Services from some people in the Glade and verified feedback on Angie's List. What a blessing meeting them was!
John and Ron - listented to our ideas and then bounced back some of their own. Then they took the ball and ran with it! They drew up 3 designs and and emailed them to us for review. Once we decided on a design, they handled all the paperwork and pre-inspection with the Glade. They kept us updated with emails, phone calls and pictures throughout the project. They worked with our tenant to provide minimal inconvenience to their family during the project as well.
We were offered input on pricing, products used, etc. and were involved and updated daily. We found them to be extremely professional and a breeze to work with. They were very detail oriented and did things like insuring the boards ran the entire width of the deck and did not do any 'cutting and piecing' giving a much smoother look. As work progressed if they thought something might look better if they changed from the original plan (we did not originally plan for all the lattice under the deck) they called and we discussed options, pricing, etc. Someone just looking at the price we paid might think it is high, but this is quality work. This is a very large deck and we requested premium lumber, there is also a lot of lattice, and because our dogs are small, our spindles are all set at 3" on the deck and the 4 foot high fence.
There were no unpleasant surprises on this job, no hidden costs, lack of contact, etc. The entire job was completed within 30 days. We were very pleased with Lakeside Services and we cannot wait to move into our home and enjoy coffee on the deck each morning while the dogs play in the yard below.

The company began the work in Sept 2010 before we were on site as agreed upon they completed the entire project within the week time line they had outlined. The work was exactly what we had agreed upon and works perfectly for our needs. The design was complex due to the double stair design but was painstakingly planned and implemented. We are delighted with the final result.
