We called 4 weeks ago when we noticed our unit was freezing up. We called Action because we had just used them in the past and we were satisfied with that service. After we made an appt for someone to come out and look- he diagnosed our problem being a piston going bad. They were going to order the part and get back to us. I had to continually check on the part. After 3 weeks of getting the run around - the parts shipping- not shipping- shipping- not shipping and saying they have tried to reach 3 different supply companies to get this part and have been unsuccessful. I finally called in another local company to take a look and the piston wasn't faulty- in fact those rarely go bad. We actually have a leak in a coil. So.. after waiting 3 weeks to get the wrong part we now have to wait for the correct part to come in. And.. I finally called Action after 3 weeks of the run around and asked to speak to a manager and told him what was going on- he made some calls and got the part (wrong part) shipped instantly. Imagine that. So we have told Action not to come back and let the new company get the correct part. The frustrating thing is... you rely on these people to be experts in what they do .. put your trust in them. But after 3 weeks of the run around I felt something was off and we would have paid them to install a part and it not have even fixed our problem! So I don't recommend them and told them the least they could do was refund me back the $90 service call for misdiagnosing it. I was told to have a good day. Shame.

It's $99 a year for service, I guess that is good.

They have been really good. We have a maintenance program with them where you get a break like no labor and pay for parts. It is not too bad a deal. What stands out the most is their very good customer service. Their technicians are knowledgeable. They are friendly. The people we have dealt with, the main officer, is very nice. I believe that they are truthful and they are just good local people unlike a couple of heating places here that we have been warned about. Action, I think does not take advantage of you. I would recommend them to anybody. They are not the most expensive and they are not the cheapest. It seems like we have not had any problem with the stuff we put in.

Chip at Action was very helpful in explaining the different options. He also worked with us on the price to get the cost down to an estimate they provided a year earlier. Guys came out and installed it in less than a day. My only ding on the install was that the install guys didn't use a drop cloth on the carpet, didn't clean up the debris under the furnace (left part of a pvc pipe). Other than that, great job.

This time it went well.
In the past I had an emergency and I had to go without heat from Thursday p.m. to Monday a.m. I am disabled and the cold is a real problem. No part was available--and they had to locate one in order to fix it. The unit was purchased in 2009--the part went in 2012.
Some of their employees can be difficult to deal with. Others are very nice.
One employee told me when I called for the emergency that my 10 year -- parts and labor--did not include overtime and that over-time was time and one half. This was never shown in any of the advertising of the sale of the new heating and air. And they never told me that until AFTER I bought the new unit. I think that should be in their advertising and disclosed when someone purchases a new unit. (They had been servicing the old unit for 11 years and never did they tell me that before.) My husband was the one who had to deal with them for the first 9 years and they never told him that either, to my knowledge, I am a widow and I find that many of the employees do not treat women, elderly, or widows very well.

Excellent. Arrived on time and was very efficient. The price was excellent compared to another local Hand C company.

Fully explained everything, did thorough check on all equipment and did not find anything wrong. Important that he did not try to sell me anything or do some type of bogus repair. When I need more work done I will choose this company again.

Tried to remove order from air conditioner. Lasted about 2 hours then |returned.

An attempt was made to patch the old unit, but it was too far gone. Our situation was assessed, and based on that, new ducts were installed. The unit had to be ordered. Despite the ordering and duct work, the office was too warm just one afternoon. The weather was cool the next morning, and all of the work was finished before it became warm.

Action showed up on time, gave a firm estimate and kept their word. The workers were neat and did not goof off or make a lot of noise. They did not take a break in the job to go hunting, as some here do. Action was willing to accept the job and use the existing heat pump. Their work solved our problem and their ability to increase and balance the air flow was an indication of their knowledge.

My house was struck by lightning on Monday, 10/6/2014 in the middle of the night. The following morning, I called to see if someone could come and check out my thermostat. A service technician (Justin) arrived early the same afternoon (right along with VolFirst/Ben Lomand). Justin quickly assessed the issues with my system, replaced the thermostat (fried motherboard) and a blown fuse. He checked the secondary A/C system as well to ensure it was also working properly. Everyone I dealt with was professional and prompt and solved my problem quickly.

They came when they said they were going to come. They were pleasant. They did a good job.

Excellent. Would use them again, and recommend them to others.

They did the job when they said they would, completed in a timely fashion and cleaned up and hauled scraps and old heat pump away. Service on a yearly check has been GREAT! We cannot say enough good things about Action H and C. They are honest, friendly and sincerely care about their customers. We are treated as friends, not just another customer. We would use no one else as we have in the past.
