"Thank you for the great review! We appreciate your business."
with gent heating and cooling, someone, the owner, answered every call immediately. sent someone out right away, and gave me a good price on a new system. i know it was a good price because i got a new system on a previous house a few years before and hoped to get a price close to it. he was only $400 different than the system i had a few years prior and this was for a larger system so i'm sure it would cost more. i was unable to get quotes from other business so as to compare prices, since we are in the middle of summer, but i am assuming since it is a 4 ton instead of a 3 ton system that $400 difference would be a close enough quote to my previous deal a few years back. and on that deal i had time to call on about 10 different companies, so i knew my previous deal was a great deal. i paid $400 more this time, but got a 4 ton instead of a 3 ton, so i think i got a great deal.
the workers came out and installed cleanly and left no mess.
i have no complaints whatsoever which is a big deal nowadays because it's almost like no one does a good job anymore.
i will recommend, and thank you for giving me a great deal and coming out so quickly to help me in a bind, and god bless you and your family.
"We appreciate your business and your comments. We're glad that you are happy! God bless to you also. :)"
Due to some misleading/extraneous piping in the attic (apparently the original installation didn't match the builder's piping, and more piping was put in without removing a "pipe to nowhere") condensation from the new unit dripped into the insulation, and damaged the room below. Gent covered all the repairs without quibbling, hiring a very good drywall contractor. We still use Gent, and when our original main floor unit unit expires from old age, we intend to purchase that one from Gent, too.
"We appreciate your positive feedback. We look forward to working with you again, whether if your downstairs unit needs replaced, or any other heating & air issue you have."
"Thanks for your kind words and business! We look forward to serving you again."
Good guy, very knowledgable.
I will use him again.

"[member name removed] called me about a problem she was having with her unit. She said she had a 10-Yr Parts & Labor warranty with Trane and several companies had come out but nobody could find a problem. I told her I would check it out, but if I could NOT find anything wrong, Trane would not pay me for my time and she would have to pay. She said OK. I was going to be running an 1 hour late so I called her and told her I was running late and told her when I would be there. She said her unit blows hot air when it kicks on. I spent 1 hour checking everything out. The unit was a little low on freon. The duct work is in the attic, so I told her that when the unit kicks on, the air in the duct has become acclimated to the attic temperature. That's why it starts out blowing warm air and then cools off. I asked her 3 times if she wanted me to fill the unit up with freon. All three times she said yes. I told her my price for a service call would be $75.00 and R-22 would be $50.00 per pound. So I put 2.5lbs of R-22 in the unit. My bill was $200.00 ($75 for service call, 125.00 for R-22). It was not $100.00 for service call and $100.00 for freon. She would not pay the bill, so I left. She then called me back to tell me she would pay me for the freon. I returned to her house and she gave me a check for $125.00. My findings were: the unit is functioning fine, a little low on freon, but the problem is that the duct work is in the attic."
They were patient and answered all questions.
I had rats chew through the existing duct-work apparently long ago..and they had made a nest all around the area. I decided to clean all of that up and me and Ebby worked together on it. This may have made them behind on another call, but it needed to be addressed. I used my wet/dry vac and cleaned up the entire area myself and then sprayed bleach all over.
They found and addressed other problems.
Ebby found a hole that the build had left that was in-between the crawl-space and that area. I worked out with him if he could please cover that up with something and he was able to do a great job cleaning it up and covering it with some flexible steel sheeting..screwing it down with no openings all around.
Great Pricing
Was 1/3 the cost of HEP or others. So the service, cost, and work provided will definitely have me come back.
They were referred by a co-worker and I wanted to join Angies List just to let everyone know how happy I am with this company.
