VIP GROOMING

DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE!
I spoke to Pat, the owner, the night before and asked about her experience level with Goldens, told her my name, the dog's name and specifically what I wanted done. She asked me to have the dog on site before 9AM.
I delivered my Golden at 8:30AM.  No-one was in the grooming salon.  I took one of the rescue dogs for a walk and came back after 45 minutes.  No-one was in the grooming salon.  I went home and waited until 10:30 and called.  I repeated my instructions for bath, brush, de-shed and light trim and gave my name and phone number.
At 11:45 I went to pick up my dog.  I was told he wasn't finished.  One of the groomers shoved a pink slip in my face and said, "You didn't fill this out!"  I replied that I hadn't been given one to fill out. "Well we didn't know what to do and the prep work was done, so he's got a summer hair cut.  It's just hair, it'll grow."  I was pretty worried at this point.
I was finally called to pick up at 1:30.  They had shaved my beautiful Golden Retriever.
I received an entire list of excuses of why this was my fault.  When I said I had spoken to the owner the night before, I was told, "Oh well, Mom's had brain tumors and she has problems with her short term memory."
When I was told they "was only chargin' me half, normal is $70. It's just hair, it'll grow." I replied that I didn't feel I should be charged, that this was a travesty. The reply I got was, "Ya know Ma'am, you been here before and you always has a problem."
I very clearly stated, two times, that I had never been there before, I just moved to Memphis in May and the only thing that should have been said to me about the whole situation is, "We're very sorry, we made a terrible mistake, we won't charge you."  I was told, "Well, I just said that."
It will take about 2 years for my Golden to grow his coat back to what it was.
Rude, Unacceptably sloppy, abysmal customer service.  Don't go here unless you want your dog shaved and to be treated poorly.
