It went great! I have used Mr. Buehler several times over the past 20 years. He has always delivered good results. I have recommended him to several friends and family members. No complaints from any of them.

It went great. The work was done in 2008. Mr. Allen and Sons did a great job. They had to put scaffolding in my foyer. The trim on the old window was dry rotted and water leaked and warped my foyer floor. My co-worker, who lived down the street, paid $5000 for a window of the same size. This is now 2016 - We have not had a problem with the window Mr. Allen installed for $1700. The only problem we had was the window was installed a week later than was planned because the ordered window was placed on the wrong truck and went through a couple of extra states before arriving here in town. I couldn't tell you who made the window. I didn't buy at a store. I used this website and got estimates from 3 different companies with the highest ratings I found here. I was surprised when he gave me his $1700 quote. I had to ask if that was just for the window alone. That was the installed price. Mr. Allen went on to explain on how he would replace the wood trim with composite trim where he could. Mr. Allen also repaired a few other windows and replaced dry rotted brick molding with composite molding on a few of my other windows. Eight years later - 100% satisfied with the customer ratings on this site, as it pertains to what I had to get fixed and 110% satisfied with the job Mr. Allen and crew did - way back when in 2008. It was the best $1700 I have spent. In 2014, someone tried to break into our house. They broke the sash as they tried to pry the window open. Fortunately, the hardwired alarm sensor installed by Ellendale Electric did its job. The burglar was foiled by the blaring alarm. I called Mr. Allen and within a couple of days they repaired my window. So why am I writing this review 8 yrs later. Well, I can't tell you the name of the manufacture that made the picture window installed in my foyer but I can tell you who recommended that window and who installed it - Mr. Allen - "YOUR WINDOW GUY"! Job well done, thank you.

Their price was average. He did the job and his fine. Alan was there with his kid and he knows what he's doing. They are not outstanding but they did the job.

We purchased our home in June 2011 and had Allen repair a window that had suffered water damage. The sellers selected him for the service. In May 2012 we again noticed water leaking between the panes of glass. Allen returned to repair the issue. Now, December 2013, the same window is once again leaking. He offered to come look at the window again, but we declined. Having the same window worked on 3 times in 2.5 years seems a bit much. We've had no other problems with any other windows in our home. He seems like a nice guy, but the quality of work has been sub-par. We're looking elsewhere to repair the window this time. I understand that home maintenance is ongoing, but it's unreasonable to have to continue to worry about an issue such as this on an annual basis, particularly when no other windows in our home have had issues.

Response from YOUR WINDOW GUY
"To the best of our knowledge, the problem with this window was a manufacturer defect, not an installation issue. Therefore the only option we have is to replace defective product at no cost to customer. She declined the replacement."

He was polite in front of my eyes but I was not impressed with the work. I think that the price could have been a little less. I would not recommend him.

"We deeply regret any problems this member experienced. We are always happy to correct any problems caused by the work we perform. I am unaware if she called to report any dissatisfaction as this job was approx. 1 year ago. Our prices are always competitive and strive to do quality work."

I've used this company before to replace 2 windows and they did such a good job that when I had a need this year, I knew who to call. And as before, they were timely, courteous and professional. They had the installation done in about an hour and now the window looks terrific.

My very large dog broke the front window of my house. Through Angie's List, I found the Window Guy. He was the first of the window repairmen who was available and am I thankful he was! He was punctual and professional, and offered to replace the window with a stronger glass so this wouldn't happen again. The cost of the service was even a little less than what was estimated.

It was very good. He showed up on time and then he sent me the quote in and email so that I could have a recorded message of that. There was one more area that we didn’t go through when he was here for the quote but he fixed it as well and he didn’t charge much for that. He painted the window frames that he replaced and the paint matched the original color. I would definitely use him again.

Originally we requested a bid to replace 5 windows. Allen was most responsive and most agreeable to meeting with us and explaining what he would do. Getting a bid in writing was a real problem. His wife does his book work for him and it took 3 phone calls to get a price. Allen, however, was as accomdating as you could expect. At that point we asked him about repairing other windows in the house and he said he'd be more than happy to help and explained in detail what he would do. Again, getting a firm price in writing was a real issue. Finally he gave us a verbal price which we agreed to. He honestly tried very hard to do the right thing and generally was more than willing to come back and do things that were missed, but there were too many things missed and windows installed that did not work properly It is not the client's responsibility to bring this to his attention. He is a nice person and tries his best, but there are some skills that are simply lacking. His glazing of the windows was really poor and his repairs were not always adequate.
Response from YOUR WINDOW GUY
"We are sorry this member was not happy. We feel our price was more than fair and actually installed several screens at no charge since we failed to include them on bid. We had some problems getting pricing from our manufacturer thus delayed our bid. Again we apologize and regret that she was not satisfied however we feel we responded to her concerns in a timely manner. We have been in the glass business for over 25 years and feel we are extremely knowledgeable and perform our skills above par."

Your Window Guy arrived when scheduled to repair an old wood window sash. There were large gaps all around the pane with large pieces of weatherstripping stuffed in them. There was also a piece of siding nailed to the bottom of the sash at the sill to bridge a gap created by an out of square frame. The glass was replaced with a better fitting piece and the sash was shimmed to operate properly. The unsightly piece of siding was removed and the bottom of the sash was repaired to form a proper seal against the sill. The quality of workmanship was above average, though clean up was not.

Allen was wonderful to work with. He was on time and was very professional. He is not only a window guy, he is an all around handy man. As a professional Real Estate Agent, he has performed many general repairs that have been required by appraisers and home inspectors. He has been 100% satisfying on all of these jobs.
