Chasta was extremely nice and went out of her way to answer all of my questions. The price quoted is exactly what I paid. Installers showed up in the provided time frame. However, I do feel I was a bit misled. In speaking with Chasta, she advised that they didn't have a large enough slab for my project but due to the pattern in the granite, a seam wouldn't be noticeable. IT IS! I have tried and tried to overlook it but the seam is uneven and the two pieces of granite are slightly off. I hate I didn't notice this at the time the installers were at my home. When I finally did notice it, I figured it was so noticeable because it was new and over time I wouldn't notice it at all. I still do. In all fairness, however, I haven't reached out to Chasta because I feel it's a moot point at this time.

Crew was timely, efficient, friendly, supportive and well coordinated. Two crews( four guys) showed up for the removal

and the reinstall.  Walked in the door with the necessary equipment,  Checked that we had everything loose, clamped on the specialty equipment to insure seams did not separate or slabs crack, lifted each counter out and stored it carefully out of the way.

A week later two crews came back came, verified level and square, reset counter tops, one crew left, second crew shimmed and caulked to get firm final set to each of the four sections.

This was the second time we have use The Granite Guy.  Quality of service was a repeat of a year earlier when they did a full installation in a investment property in Dogwood Creek.

They are our " go to guys" stone installation.

When the people came out to remove the old counter tops we told them that we wanted to reuse the sink faucet. When the new counter top was installed and it was time to install the sink faucet the plumber discovered that when it was remover it had been damaged to the point of being unusable. At this point we had to go out and buy another one thereby incurring an additional cost of $150.00.
A couple of months after installation we discovered a crack in the granite. We called "The Granite Guy" and asked him to come out an look at it to see if anything could be done. This was several weeks ago and we are yet to hear from him. So I would say that service after the sale is not one of their strong points.
Response from THE GRANITE GUY
"We apologize for this problem. During this timeframe we were in a transition between buildings and ownership. This is not the usual way of conducting business. Follow up and pleasing the customer once the job is complete is top priority. Once again we apologize. Sometime upon removal of old countertops the existing faucet can be damaged, we do our best to protect them but sometimes that isn't enough."

Everything was done in a timely manner. I am very happy with the way the countertop turned out. In regards to the people they were very good and well mannered. I thought overall they did a wonderful job and I would most definitely hire them again if I needed work like this done in my kitchen.
