Auto Body Work
We have used the services of Superior Auto Body of Collierville on several occasions in the past, once when a teenager (in a moment of inattention, while stopped on an incline at the exit of a high school parking lot) accidentally allowed her vehicle to roll back and crash into the front of one of my sons’ sedan, and, most memorably, when a large limb was torn from a tree during a severe thunderstorm and landed atop one of our cars, hammering a large dent in its rooftop.
Their repair work has always been exceptional, so much so that it seemed as though our vehicles had just magically rolled off the factory assembly line. The talents of the staff at Superior Auto Body rival, if not surpass, those shown on The History Channel’s reality TV show, “Counting Cars”, which showcases the work done by “Count’s Kustoms”, the Las Vegas-based auto restoration shop owned by renowned auto mechanic and car customizer Danny “The Count” Koker. They are that good!
Not long ago my son’s fiancand eacute;e, while backing her car down her parents’ driveway, inadvertently smacked the rear wrap-around bumper of my son’s 2012 Ford Fusion, nearly tearing it off. Although my initial response (when I learned of this incident) was a bemused shrug of the shoulders and the offered opinion that “well, stuff happens, it’s really no big deal”, the horrified reaction of our future daughter-in-law was akin to having careened her vehicle into the cornerstone of the Washington Monument, knocking it askew, and then, moments later, seeing the entire obelisk topple in a thunderous crash to the ground.
In order to allow his car to be driven, my son and I were able to snap a potion of the rear body fairing back into place, but it was obvious to us all that further repairs were necessary. As Superior Auto Body had done such sterling work for us before, I drove the car to their shop that same day to seek an estimate for the cost of the repairs.
Jerry Floyd inspected the damage, and said “You know, I think this entire fairing can easily be snapped back in place. Would you mind if I drove the car around back into the shop?” Skeptical, I handed Jerry the keys, and walked inside to sit in the lobby’s comfortable waiting area.
In less than 20 minutes Jerry drove the car back to the front of the shop, and needless to say, I was astonished. The rear body fairing had been successfully restored back into its exact original position, a series of black rubber scuff marks (on the surface of the fairing) caused by the collision had been removed, and, what’s more, the entire fairing seemed to have been buffed to a high sheen. It was as though this mishap had never occurred.
Jerry explained that since a few of the interior plastic mounting brackets had been broken during the impact, some screws had been installed to ensure that the fairing would remain in place. To my further astonishment, he declared there would be no charge for the repair.
Such customer service, I think, is unparalleled in the Memphis area, and among auto body repair shops anywhere. So, if you require the services of an auto body shop, I would recommend Superior Auto Body of Collierville to anyone. Their staff is quite congenial, their appraisals honest and fair, their work unsurpassed, and perhaps most important, genuine customer service is the hallmark of their entire operation. I guarantee you will not be disappointed — they will, too.

I had to take the car back multiple times and eventually get my insurance company involved to get them to make it right. And even then they refused to address the over spray.
The first time they called me to get the car, the color between the nose the rest of the front end was different - and I could see it from across the parking lot. But they had called me saying that the car was ready.
The second time was no better.
The third time, they had left long strips of tape and blotches of wax on the paint - but they expected me to accept the job and take the car home. That's when I got my insurance company involved.
The fourth time, the still had not addressed the over spray of the clear coat, but at that point, I was too exasperated to fight it anymore.

Superior was reasonable, ready when they said, and they cleaned our car on top of it all. My car(s) never looked better. They are friendly, professional and reasonable.

They did great! They got it done earlier than scheduled, it looks and works great. It was also reasonably priced. I currently have a vehicle here with a few dents in each door which they are repairing.
