My Town Movers, Inc.

I recently moved from a 3rd floor apartment in East Memphis to a single-floor house a few miles away. Of all the companies I found, My Town Movers rated the highest across sites. I called for an estimate, which came back very competitive, so I booked. Brandon and Rich showed up the day of the move after calling to tell me they were on their way. Once we walked the floor and discussed what needed to be moved, Brandon went over the paperwork with me. Once that was complete (only a minute or so) they got started. Moving out took about an hour, which was a bit faster than I expected. I was impressed how quickly they were able to get things bundled up and down two flights of stairs without hitting any doors or walls on the way. Not something I could do. Once we got to the house we looked around for a minute and I laid out where I wanted things delivered. They got right to work and got things where they needed to be. Of note was the washer and dryer, which they managed to squeeze through a couple tight doorways without touching anything. They even hooked them up for me. I had just had my hardwood floors redone, and they took care to place all the furniture down so as not to scuff the floors. All told it took about 2.5 hours. When they were done I signed the paperwork concerning the start/finish time and briefly spoke to their supervisor, letting him know they had done a solid job throughout, especially in the mid-August West Tennessee heat. Overall I was impressed with the speed they worked at while while also being careful enough to deliver everything as it was. Both guys were very personable and good to chat with. Overall I would recommend My Town Movers to anyone else looking to schedule an in-town move. Good price (under $400 for me), easy to work with from start to finish, and employees who are both good at their jobs and personable while doing it.

On time and great service

Shawn, John, and Milton were due to arrive between 9 and 9:30 and arrived right on time. They got to work immediately and wasted no time in loading the 2 PODs. This included wrapping the furniture so it wouldn't be damaged. They completed the work in just over 2 hours. Very impressed with the quality of the work the guys did. Would definitely hire again if I was still in the area.

Great team of professional movers starting with Preston, the owner giving me the estimate & all the details followed by his team of professional movers Julius, Denise, Willie & Allen! These guys made a great team working together from morning til night to make it happen! I could not have been more pleased with their service & will definitely use them again!

Great crew with positive result!

They were wonderful. They were on time, very careful with everything, took extra care with several antique pieces. Even moved some pieces that were to go to other apartments from my apartment. These guys clearly took pride in their work and wanted it to be a good experience for me as well, which it was!

Great Guys

Above and beyond, excellent and very content.  They took care of all details , made sure to ask me if there was anything else they were missing.  Pleased to help the customer.  Outstanding !

They were amazing. We had 1 truck and 2 movers and they worked non-stop. They did not waste any time but at the same time were extremely careful with all of our belongings. (We have moved before and had movers who seemed to purposely take their time which in turn cost us more money.) We had a 2 story home with a very difficult turn at the top of the stairs and they were able to get some very large, heavy pieces moved without damaging the wall, the stair rails, or the furniture. They were very good about protecting our appliances and furniture. We were not closing on the sale of our home until the next day so we were not getting our apartment until after closing. They stored our belongings overnight on the truck for an extremely reasonable price. They met us at our apartment about an hour after we got possession of our apartment. Since we will only be in the apartment temporarily, we were storing a lot of items in the garage and spare bedroom. They took great care in stacking and arranging what we were storing in the spare bedroom and garage and kept protective plastic wrap on items we were storing. We will DEFINITELY be using My Town Movers when we make our next move. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone.

Overall it was not a good experience

Absolutely nothing was damaged and I will say ,Justin, the crew chief who moved us, was very careful about damage to our belongings. Justin and Julius were cheerful and very helpful the whole move.
We could not be happier with the way they moved us.  I was nervous about choosing a long distance mover as I had heard horror stories.  Justin gave me his phone number and he texted his location during the trip and time of arrival to our new house in Oklahoma City, City.
They were very careful unloading and placing our belongings at the new location.
The only hiccup was a slight late arrival due to a change in trucks at the last minute but in the end it did not matter.
I give them the highest rating I can because moving is stressful, especially a long distance move, and everyone from Tyler Carter ,my contact at My Town Movers, to the actual movers could not have been more helpful.

JOB WELL DONE!  I would hire Mike, Kyle, Will, and Deno did a wonderful job!  they worked hard all day, and made the move simple for us.  Cant say enough good about the job they did.

Our movers were Josh and Ian and they were great! They were super friendly and very efficient. They were able to move our stuff just using the 2 hr minimum, other moving companies I had contacted quoted us about 4-5 hrs to do this move. My husband and I were very impressed with their work ethic and professionalism. Not a box was dropped, not a piece of furniture scratched and they even showed up early! You can't go wrong with these guys. We'll be using My Town for any moves we have in the future.

Setting up the move was very professional. The company offered me a special I wasn't aware of. Although, they were running behind to make the timeframe that was set, they kept in contact with me to update me on their arrival. Upon arrival, the movers were very efficient and professional. My furniture arrived without incident. I would use this company again and recommend them.

Went great! The guys are super stars- hustled in the sweltering heat to get us moved in as quickly and as efficiently as humanly possible! We'd definitely recommend them and will use them again should the need arise. They were also very accommodating when our plans changed last minute and we needed to change our move in day.

They were great.  i am using them again for another load of odds and ends.  Hunter and his co-worker did a great job.  my home is a two story and all my furnishings are very heavy.  they never complained at all.  it also was 100 degrees outside.  also nothing got damaged.

The crew was fantastic! They worked very hard through a long day and remained upbeat, professional and courteous at all times. They wrapped each piece of furniture before loading onto their trucks and took great care when unloading and placing the furniture. Much of our heavy furniture required trips up and down stairs, but they never complained. They did not lose momentum or grow careless as the day progressed. We received good, honest work at a great value.  The crew exceeded our expectations!

The 2 men arrived promptly and worked smoothly.   Was very satisfied.

They arrived as promised.  Very professional and courteous. They did not mess around, loaded my stuff up super quick. They were very careful not to scratch the walls in my new house and asked me where I wanted things as they unloaded. I would recommend them to anyone planning on moving.
