We had C & C Granite replace our primary and half bathroom countertops during a renovation 16 months ago. A few weeks ago I heard a noise in the bathroom and went in and saw my sink separating from the countertop. It came completely unattached. My husband propped it up and I called first thing Monday morning. The lady I spoke to said they couldn't get to me until Thursday and that since it was past 1 year since they installed it (by 4 months) there would be a $150 service charge. I was surprised that they would not guarantee work that was done such a short time ago. I asked to speak to a manager or owner and she said "About what?" I said "About this problem." She said the answer would be the same. Work is only guaranteed for 1 year. I made an appointment and asked for someone to call me back in the meantime. No one ever did. I called and left a message the next day with no response again. I then had my trusted plumber look at it and he said it should have had clips to brace it or at least some wood planks to support it. He said some companies just use the adhesive to save time and money. He gave me the name of a guy he knows who installs and repairs countertops. I made an appointment with the other guy for the next day. He quoted me $150 as well. I decided to call one last time to try to speak to a manager or owner and to cancel my appointment. I explained the situation to a different person who answered the phone. He said he would cancel my appointment and asked if I wanted to leave another message. I declined since my previous messages were ignored. The next day the guy my plumber recommended reattached my sink and reinforced it with wood planks underneath. He also put planks under the other sink in the primary bathroom and in the half bath. He charged me $150. I told him the situation with C & C Granite and he said he often repairs their work. I would not recommend C & C Granite and will not use them again.
