We have not had any surgeries there. We have mostly done infections or rabie shots. Two of our cats have thyroid issues and one is diabetic. We see them frequently for that.

I have 4 cats. The wait time is usually about 5-10 minutes. The vet is great. He is friendly and nice. They seem genuinely concerned about your pet. They are willing to come in if you have an emergency.

Excellent doctor, treats all animals with love and compassion

They were nice and friendly to me and genuinely cared for our cat. Dr. Pope did not rush through the office visit and answered my questions. After examining and determining our cat was healthy and not having issues I was given the choice whether to have or not to have blood tests performed. We received a nice hand written note in the mail from Dr. Pope following our visit. He also said if we had any questions to call. In this day and age not many doctors/vets take the time to hand write a note. Just another example of how Dr. Pope cares.

I don't think there is a better veterinarian than Dr. Pope. He has been our veterinarian for about 30 years. He is just wonderful. He has a beautiful office. He makes house calls. He is very helpful. He charges regular prices and he is very reasonable for what he does. He is totally excellent. He is an excellent veterinarian and he has a wonderful bedside manner to his patients and clients. We will definitely continue to see him.

All Creatures Pet Hospital are very nice and very prompt. They get your dog ready when they say. The dog actually likes them. They are high quality.

Dr. Pope came highly recommended by a respected coworker who had used this vet for several previous animals lifetime of care without complaint..and thats about 15 years worth of trust building. So, despite my living way outside of Shelby County, I packed up our big, sweet pit bull and made the trip to Collierville. I will never regret that decision. The staff at All Creatures was courteous from my very first call and Dr. Pope was consistently calm, patient and pleasant, not to mention thorough in explaining all possible options, and/or rationale for his approach. I should add here that I am no easy customer...I work in healthcare (of humans), have a college degree in my field, am a mother of 2 teenagers, and no matter how you cut it, I'm protective, and very inquisitive, if not obsessive about my 2 and 4 legged babies. Dr. Pope was accommodating to my style and one can plainly see his genuine love for animals. When our dog needed anesthesia for certain images, I was impressed by Dr. Popes tender manner with my dog. I was moved almost to tears when he himself got a warm towel and wrapped the dog, then gently rubbing and speaking reassuredly to my animal. Where he felt that our needs would best be addressed by a specialist, he didn't attempt to sell me a service or perform a procedure himself where the animal would best be served by someone else's expertise. And so, we took Dr. Pope's advice and referrals for a few specialist-surgeons, picked the one we felt most comfortable with, had the surgery we now felt confident was necessary, and the outcome was just as positive as I had hoped for. We were so happy with Dr. popes care that we brought in another of our large breed-dogs - who another vet had recommended cruciate repair surgery for. Dr. Pope avoided this dog the pain of needless surgery and avoided us the needless expense after the real problem was a patellar issue and not a CCL tear as we had been told initially by the other vet. How many times does that happen!? So yes, my family would use Dr.Pope for all of my vet needs if it were geographically feasible or if I were retired and time wasn't a limiting factor, but in any event I would not hesitate to call on this vet for any surgery he is comfortable performing and will continue to value his honesty for second opinions. I can confidently recommend Dr. Pope to others. His prices are similar when compared to the other three vets we have worked with, and were pleased with in recent years, but Dr. Pope's level of caring service is among the best out of any vet I've ever used, and the techs are equally as kind and supportive to both the pet and to the family members who accompany the pet to this wonderful practice!

He's the only vet I would take my dog to. My dog is 13 years old and has liver failure because another vet had her on medication and her liver values were not checked every 6 months like they should have been. She is in good shape for a 13 year old dog. Every time the vet sees her he says he is always surprised to see her walk in here because her liver values are so low I always think she's going to come in here looking like she's on her last leg because of what the other vet had done. This vet was referred to me as someone this person trusted and valued the opinion of. He leaves his personal phone number for after hours. If you need to reach him and something is wrong with the dog he will go to the clinic and meet you there. That is something I've never seen in a vet office. He will also call you back on his personal telephone which is wonderful.
