I contracted for the work with a sizable down payment in April 2006. I was promised work would begin mid-May 2006. Work did not start until after Memorial Day. When work was finally completed in August after several weeks of delay a water intrusion situation remained. Two problems with the work by SCR contributed to the water intrusion: Problem 1: The picture windows were manufactured and installed with drain vents in a vertical side position instead of at the horizontal bottom position of the picture window. Problem 2: Repair of 2 April 2006 storm damage to gutters did not include, as described in the work statement, gutter guards as existing." It was almost a year before the work necessary was done to solve the water intrusion problem. To date (28 June 2007) there has been no storm to check that the problem is solved. Despite ever effort to contact Mr. Stamey he did not return telephone calls and on one instance hung up when he realized I was calling.
