Dotson Door Service

John and his people are great to work with. He came and took the old torquemaster springs that had damaged my door when they broke down and replaced them with a more reliable system. If you need garage doors or service, John is the guy to call.

Initially it went well. However after a few months the openers malfunctioned. We attempted to contact Mr Dotson and left repeated messages, but he would not return our telephone calls.

I Purchased three garage doors from Home Depot and Dotson Door Service was the contractor.
The gentlemen from Dotson's were delayed about 30 minutes due to vehicle problems. I appreciate them contacting me during this situation and informing me of their short delay. The gentlemen did a great job installing the three new doors. I haven't had to tighten any bolts or make any adjustments since installation 9 months ago. The gentlemen also went over all the features and made suggestions for maintenance. Clean up was thorough. The gentlemen were friendly and personable. I would recommend Dotson Door Service.

They came out and installed everything perfectly. The doors have been operational for the better part of a year now and work flawlessly. They made recommendations on the type of lift system and door quality that worked best for my application and Im very happy with the product and how they work.

Showed up on time- finished on time. Cleaned up after the installation  Perfect Job. Would use them again. Highly recommend them to anyone.

The business was contacted about 10:00 am. Help was promised for the afternoon. John and his son arrived around 4:00, provided troubleshooting, and replaced a failed limit switch. The door was adjusted and lubricated. Lubrication was a bonus. They are very knowledgble and prompt. The service call and part was very reasonable. I was quite pleased with their service.

Everything was installed as advertised, I have no complaints at this time.

One of the recent cold spells did a number on one of our garage door springs so we had to have it replaced. A contractor that we trust recommended Dotson Door for the job. We still decided to call one other garage repair place for comparison before making a final decision.. The other company was wanting to charge about 35% more to fix the same repair. When Mr. Dotson returned my call he said they had been very busy doing repairs but would be able to take care of our garage door later that same day. He showed up promptly and it only took about 15 minutes to complete the job. He was also kind enough to staple the wires running to the switch that were hanging down without me mentioning it. He and his associate were very professional. It seems that customer service is not as important to some businesses as it use to be but that is not the case with Dotson Door. I'd give them an A+.

They arrived on time, made sure we had all the correct materials before starting. They removed the old door, rails, and spring and confirmed that I wanted to keep the old door. If I didn't want the door they would of disposed of it but I wanted to keep the door. They installed the new rails, spring, door, and all accessories that I had ordered. Total time from arrival to complition was about 2 hours. They also re-set all the door limits and tested to make sure everything worked properly. It was a very cold day but they took their time and made sure everything was installed and working correctly. Afterwards they cleaned-up and explained few maintenance details and made sure I was happy with the new door and their work.

Everything went well with Dotson Door Service- they called to measure and installed without problems. Professional, courteous--I'd use them again without reservations.
The only big snag was that the company contracts with Home Depot (I bought the door through Home Depot). Home Depot "forgot" to respond when Dotson called them back (promptly) about exact measurements. So when I finally called 4 weeks into it (had been told it would be 2-3 weeks, then I would get a call to set up install time- I never got the call) I found out I had been forgotten. Not the first time for Home Depot (same happened with a entry door).
So my recommendation is to call Dotson directly, and don't involve Home Depot

Even though it was a busy week they were able to accommodate me sooner than I had expected. Mr. Dotson performed the repair and was very friendly and professional during his visit. Repair went very quicky and he performed a few other tune ups and adjustments at no extra charge. Great guy and great company!

Our garage doors were in horrible shape.  They were broken, cracked and huge spaces around them let in the outside air in.  We had one functional opener and one broken (chain driven).  We decided it was time to replace them.  I called Dotson Door because a friend of mine referred them to me.  She said they were very honest people. 
When I called, I explained that I wanted to replace my doors and openers.  My requests were that we wanted insulated doors and quiet operation.  The quiet was very important to us since we have bedrooms right above the garage and in the past it always sounded as if the house was shaking whenever we used the old openers/doors.  Dotson suggested upgrading to belt drive openers. 
They came out and took measurements and gave us an estimate.  We decided to use this company and they installed the doors the within a week.  They were friendly and professional.  After installation I was ready with a host of questions on how to operate the new doors, but I didn't need them because they took the time to demonstrate the safety features and how to operate them. 
There are no more gaps around my doors.  My garage is so much warmer on these cold mornings.  I cannot believe how quiet they are.  I can no longer tell at all from inside the house when the doors are opening or closing.  I didn't know that would be possible.  I am completely satisfied with the work that was done and would highly recommend them.

I called  Dotson Doors because I had two garage doors that were non-functioning.  John Dotson and Justin Dotson came out and replaced the springs on one of the doors and were able to get them both working great.  They were very professional and personable.  I highly recommend  them and will definitely use them in the future.

Dotson Doors was sub-contracted by Home Depot to install and service our Garage Door.  The first door was installed in July 2011.  It was damaged, but usable so it was installed while a new door was on order.  The new door was installed in October 2011.  On May 24, 2012, while being raised, the door collapsed in on itself.  We called Home Depot, who sent a technician from Dotson Doors to inspect and fix the door.  The technician inspected the door and told us the repairs or replacement would be covered under the warranty.However, Dotson Door told Home Depot that we had broken the door by lowering it onto something.  Dotson Doors has repeatedly refused to return any phone calls or respond to a letter from our attorney.

Went very well. they are very professional.Would recommend them to the public.

They were prompt and were on time. They did what they said they were going to do. They did great work. They were reasonably priced.

On June 4th, a saturday morning, my garage door would not open, not even manually, and I could not get my car out of the garage. I looked up garage door services on Angie's List and after comparing the ratings I selected "Dotson Door Service". Within an hour of calling they were here and promptly fixed my door. While he was here I asked him to look at my doors and give me a quote on replacing them. Mine were over 20 years old and very weathered. We scheduled the new doors to be put on for June 14th. On June 14th they showed up on time and had my new doors on within a few hours for the price quoted and not a cent more. They even hauled off my old doors! Dotson Door Service was very friendly, professional and cleaned up everything before they left. My garage was cleaner when they left than it was before they got there! The new doors are of great quality, insulated and match my house perfectly, I could not be happier with Dotson Door Service and for Angie's List for these services.  Thank you so much for a job well done.

I got a great servie for $105. I talked with other companies and didn't hear anthing below either $200 or $300. They were prompt, courteous, cordial, and kowledgable.
