"Thank you Tim for the bonus give on through payment. It is nice when people show there appreciation it that way."
"The home owner's statement is not true! You know the one thing the guys fails to state is that I returned the money he had paid me. if I lost my temper, why would I take time to tell him I was returning his money? Okay lets see, I remember that the home owner told me "HE" himself the did the electric. He had installed the fan way too low in the ceiling. All I tried to do was bring the fan higher for him. The cover would have never been flush if left then way it was done. Except when I did, yes I ran a screw through the wire to the fan. How is it a electrical wire was tied to the rafter right where I would screw the fan box to the rafter? The home owner did not give the line coming out of the fan a pig tail long enough out and tied the wire directly over the area the screw hole in the box that you use to mount the fan with. Then he did not install any nail or crew guards. He told me that he had done all the work and that he had someone come out and check his work. When I came out to bid the work he show me one layout of the tile for the floor. Then when I came to buy the materials he had a different style and layout. When I questioned him HE snapped at me saying, "Look if you don't like, it I will do it my self!" I though WOW, how short tempered. But I brushed it off and pushed forward. Then when I hit the line for the switch, I offer to repair the line AT NO CHARGE. But he was very upset and no mater what I said he just wanted me to stop the work. I won't waste time putting what he said and how he said it, it was just uncalled for! So I picked up my tools and left. I told he I would not be returning because of his attitude was too unforgiving regarding the electric line. It was the home owner who lost his cool and told me to stop over a honest mistake. If I had done the install I would have never tied a electric line down over the area that a screw would need to go without a nail guard being put into place. Sure I made a mistake but was willing to fix it, but once again, it was the home owner who was rude and upset. I believe he is mad and give the review as such because he would not allowed to verbally abuse me and get away with it. I will work hard for any home owner and I will be honest for them as well. However I will not be verbally abused for any price. I feel bad that I needed to leave but I found it best to do so."
"First of all, I feel bad that things did not go well, and for that I am sorry. However there is an explanation which should shed some light on what really happened here. First I DID NOT pick up the tub. He had it delivered or picked it up himself, I am not sure. I believe the tub was damaged before I even touched it and when I moved and set the tub the chipped feel out. It takes a lot to chip tubs the way and the size of the chip that had fallen out of the tub. I just replaced it without any complaints. I did not buy a new tub, I exchanged it due to damaged incurred via shipping at the company where he bought the tub. They replaced the tub with no questions or concerns. I did not secret the damages as he implies. Once I saw the piece had fallen off I went the store to find a replacement, then explained what I found. I did not point fingers at the time. I bought a replacement and re-installed the new tub. As far as the hole I put in the wall. Yes, I was leaning on the wall in a shower area and the wall caved in. I found the house had 3/8's inch dry wall installed on that area, the area I had put my hand through... That is NOT up to building code and I would not have any way of knowing the wall was installed at a sub-standard level. If I had known I would not have leaned on the wall while trying to make a repair. I lean on walls all the time and I have never had a wall cave through like that did. I fixed it at no charge of course. I am a very careful working. I do my best the plan ahead on things. I did not act carless as he implies. I work hard and do my best the be carful and neat. Seems the home owner just is having a had time allowing for things which are unforeseen and not the result of carelessness, but the result of shipping damages that do not show up until things are opened or installed."
"This lady is very not being honest in her dealings or this review. She even tried to accusing me that I was not honest because she was an older woman, that I planned it out, too take advantage of her. I am offended that I would be accused of such a thing. She claimed that I was only there very little time but that is just not true. She demanded me to reduce my price after I was done, just because I finished faster than expected. I quoted her 15 hours and finished in 12 or so hours. That time was what was expected. Some times thing take longer, some times things take less time. I do not get to ask for more when things take more than expected. How can she demand to reduce the price when I finish faster? I never had an hourly rate agreement with her. I had a set price with her. But after I had finished the work she refused to pay the agreed amount on the invoice. So I told her pay what she was going too, but that the unpaid balance would be subject to collections or other legal actions. Sure I was upset and I most likely did not sound pleasant in my tone towards her. I was wrong about that I know it, something I need to work on. However, I find it very hard to be pleasant after working hard, doing a great job then getting told, "I not paying you because you finished faster than you said." I may not have sounded pleasant when I felt i was getting cheated or shafted at the end of the job. Let me ask you, those reading this. How pleasant would you be if you had an agreement on a price for your work. Then you do a great job and even finished early, then you are told, "I am not going to pay what was agreed on." How happy or pleasant do you think you would be at that time?. I guess I personally struggle with that, I will need to work on that. But that does not make me out to need professional counseling. WOW! what a personal attack at me. I will let the fact that I receive a Super Service Award THREE YEARS IN A ROW reflect my true demeanor! I worked at her house about 12 hours in total maybe. See I do not write down my start and finish times at a job. I get in and do the work agreed upon. I do not play around and stretch out the time something may take in order to look busy. She is the one who tried change the deal after she agreed on the price once the job was done. I included all the materials in this job, plastic, tape, special primer and other things which all was a cost of $200 or so. Then I worked 12 hours (not sure) but lets say 12 hours. So $700.00, minus $200.00, leaves $500.00. Paying me $41.66 per hour. Which I see is a FAIR hourly wage!!! She even says the work done, was great in quality. I did make a mistake on the first invoice at first and did send a correction. She only paid $700.00 not the $800.00 she shows. I won't take time addressing all her false claims. I feel bad that she tried to take advantage of me and tried to demand a reduced cost after I finished. To me that is underhanded and just out right not a way to treat people. If she wants to not be honest in her review that is on her. As to her offer of leaving things a lone. She does not and is not owed any refund. I did all the work I stated I would. My only fault is I did a great job, but I finished it faster than I thought. Since when is doing a great job and finishing before estimated a bad thing? If people do not like the price I quote, they are welcome to ask for a discount or a better price, but before the work is started, not after I finished the work as she did. I have worked out prices with other customers before, many times. I have given a discounts for work once completed before, because the work was not what I expected. Because I have a honest work ethic. But I have never had someone try to tell me what they were going to pay because I finished early until this lady."
