The day of the installation the plumber was sick. So his wife and helper came to install the unit. I should have said no but we had been without hot water for 3 days or so and they had taken our credit card number to purchase supplies... so we felt like we had to go through with it.
The next week the hot water in the kitchen sink went down to a trickle. I checked with a plumber friend who worked on commercial sites and he told me that this happened after installations when the installer forgot to flush the pipes and plumbers glue got in the pipes.
I called Normans and they acted like I was crazy and they didn't do ANYTHING that would cause that type of problem. However, they agreed to come out and look at it and an appointment was made.
They didn't show. We called and the plumber/Norman was "sick" Guess what? EVERY appointment made was not kept over the next three months.
We had to pay another plumber to fix the problem caused by Norman's Plumbing.

Didn't go well at all. Unfortunately, we didn't know that he left us with a leak which turned into a nightmare as we were not occupying the residence full-time. When the leak was finally discovered, it cost my insurance company over $9,0000 in repairs to my kitchen, dining room and hallway floors, plus my $1,000 deductible. I had to call another Angie's List provider to repair what Norman Plumbing did not accomplish. The sink was leaking around the baskets at the drain. I have a Delta Touch faucet which was beyond Norman Plumbing's expertise. Don't hire except for the simplest of jobs. I certainly would not recommend them.

We hired Norman Plumbing after seeing the $49 coupon on Angie's List. They were very punctual in contacting us and setting up an appt, which I appreciate. They showed up early (after calling to make sure this was OK) and did a great job. They checked all the plumbing in the house - sinks, showers, toilets, baths, etc. They flushed the hot water heater and let us know it is in good shape. Our kitchen sink needed a new gasket, so they made the trip to a local hardware store for the parts, and we reimbursed them the cost. They completed the work on the kitchen sink quickly and we've had no issues since!

It was difficult to arrange a time both for the initial visit and the return visit to actually install the faucet I needed to buy after the first visit. Also they serviced the outside faucets. I was not charged for the second visit. However, the missed and late appointments would cause me not to use them again.

I had a hard time with scheduling at first, that is why they got a c in response time, but when I did get them to come out they did the job well and got it done in a few hours and gave me a good price for my inconvenience.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it went wonderful; they did an excellent job. They were very thorough, did a great job, did it on time and did it for what they said they would do it for. I would definitely use them again in the future. Three things needed quick fixes so they fixed everything and did it for the price of the Big Deal. They came out promptly to do the work.

Faucet was fine, but it turned out I needed to pay more for the service because I didn't have a standard faucet.

The people at Norman Plumbing called and made arrangements to come and change out all my supply valves. After
a few times of having to reschedule we finally were able to meet up and get the job done. The Husband was the plumber and the wife was the helper. Unfortunately I have an old house and the supply valves I had were old as well and rather than robbing me for totally new valves, and a lot more labor hours, he repaired the ones I had with new parts in order to save me money. Unfortunately they had to drive around for around two hours in order to find the right parts to do the job. Finally the job was done and all they charged me was for the parts they bought. I couldn't in good faith let them get away without paying trying to help them pay for all the gas they used trying to find the parts so I paid them more than they requested. They were friendly, appeared to be very honest, and knowledgeable. I appreciated the fact that he didn't try to scam me into making more money for himself. He chose the water heater that he thought was the best replacement for the one I have. He asked for the money to buy it upfront which I gave him. He installed it and it worked for a few days. I called him (it always takes a while to reach him. I have to call several time and send emails, and them when the call is returned it is his wife who returns the call, and she talks with you, and then talks with him and then talks with you, etc. ) and he came back and worked on it, and the same thing happened. After phone calls, emails ,etc he said he couldn't fix it. I said fine then replace it. He had lost the receipt and said he couldn't do so. I asked him to refund my money which he refused to do.
Then he wrote me an odd email that had a great deal of incorrect information. All I could think was that he had me confused with another customer. I responded via email providing correct information.
He never responded.

Norman Plumbing is a great company that really got slammed with the Angie's List $99 offer for two hours of plumbing work. Consequently, it took about 2 weeks for them to get to us. They called before they came, just as I had asked. It took an additional hour because of the faucet and they only charged us $50 extra. Would definitely call them back if I needed them in the future.

His effort to troubleshoot was excellent. Although he could not correct my leaky tub, he did have a solution in which he needed to come back for approximately 3.5 hours. My husband has now stepped up to the plate and says he will fix it. If it does not happen soon, I will call Bobby and Marie again.

Through Angie's List BIG DEAL I bought the $79 service to replace my outside faucet through Norman Plumbing. I set the appointment about 2 weeks in advance and got a call the night before that they would be at my home at 9am. At 9am no one showed. I called both their office and Norman's cell phone with no response. I then called Angie's List to complain that no one showed after I took a day off. Three hours later I get a call that they're going to be late. They arrive at 12:30pm (3 and a half hours late). Once they are complete they tell me they had to buy extra stuff like epoxy and give me a bill for an additional $23.04. So I had to buy the faucet for $20, pay $79 for the service and then additional $23 for extra stuff. This $79 BIG DEAL actually cost me over $120. I will not use this plumbing service again.

I am sorry to say the coupon does not include the cost of the faucet, or the install of a frost free (which is 89$ more). We installed your frost free for no extra charge. It has a lot more work and parts involved in the installation. The extra parts we bought was because your existing plumbing in your crawl space was not up to code. We changed the pipe and fittings to bring it up to code, they were necessary for the frost free to work. We spoke to you before the parts were purchased, and after the install. Since we were behind in our scheduling and you left to go to work we sent (as per your request) the receipt for the extra parts by mail. We wanted to explain the coupon so you would have all the information."

I couldn't be happier. Husband and Wife team rock! The were very flexible with my crazy schedule. We purchased their coupon from AL. He repaired the toiler so I asked him to look at the sink leak. He needed some parts so we scheduled that work for the following day. I had to reschedule last minute and they were so great about it. They left the work area very clean and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this couple to you! He even used my "problem" to video it and put it on UTUBE! How cool is that! Thanks guys!

The guy was super nice and to me he was really honest. He informed me that I may need to have my septic tank cleaned out instead of him just pumping out my sewer lines. He also told me how to get my refund for what I paid Angie's List for this package. He gave me good advice that saved me money. I was very impressed by his honesty and appreciate how he said he would honor the price that I have if I still need him to pump out my sewer lines after I get my septic tank pumped out. I would use him in the future if I needed.

Called a couple of Plumbing Companies to get an estimate on my two toilets in my home.
One toilet when fushed was very slow to refill the tank. The other one was flushing fine,
but had become loose at the base-floor.
This particular company was based out of Cleveland , so I asked if it would be worth their time
to come to Chatta. for this job.I only talked with the owner's wife up until the two plumbers arrived.
First of all, she never mentioned the fact that two would come and secondly she said that they
would already be in Chatta. that morning on another job.
I had explained to her what my problems with the toilets were and that I would like to get
an estimate before they came if at all possible. She asked to hold and went to talk wtih her
husband. She then told me that he had said the most it would be would be up to $150.00,
but more than likely much less than that unless he had to replace the seal (which they did not)
The two men arrived the next afternoon. They were in my home less than 20 minutes to fix
both toilets. May have been at the house 30( they were out at their truck on a cell phone part of
that time). When they came back in, they said I owed them $150.00. I paid by check, I was never
offered an explanation as why the charge was so much . I was not given or offered an itemized
receipt explaining the $150.00 for less than 20 minutes of work.
I later called and talked with the owner's wife and asked her why I was charged the $150.00
when she had lead me to believe that it would be much less. She said she didn't know and that
she would check into the situation and let me know. Whcih she never got back to me.
So, I emailed them and asked for an itemized receipt showing exactly what the $150.00 charge
was for. Their explanation was $50.00 for a toilet fill valve and shims. And $100.00 for time for
two plumbers.
How this company ever got on Angie's List is a mystery to me and they certainly don't deserve
to respresent Angie's List for they are not a reputable company who is honest and charges a
fair price for the work they do.
I will not use this company again nor would I recommend them to anyone.

We sent out a licensed plumber and a plumbers asst(who is studying to be a licensed plumber). That's why you had two plumbers. Normally our price is 99$ per fixture. I told my wife when you called that the price was 150$ site unseen, maybe a little more or a little less. I can only say that I am sorry for the mix up. We were so busy going from one job to the next I guess we made a mistake in not giving you a receipt showing what all was done and for that we are very sorry. We will learn from our mistakes and do better. We contacted Angie's List and spoke to them, as they told us, and we know its hard to please everyone in this industry all the time. I purchased two of their coupons as a gift for my friend. Norman Plumbing was very promp in returning her call (even though it was Sunday). They were also very good about keeping me informed as to what was happening. An appointment was able to be made with a couple of days.
Her sink was fixed and no longer leaks. However, the other problem was beyond the scope of the two hour coupons I purchased. (not his fault, I just couldn't afford more.)
The only reason I wouldn't use them again is I live in GA and Norman Plumbing is only lisecened in TN.

"I was happy to do what i could for [member name removed] . When we got the sink fixed we worked on the main line from the house to the street, however the snake we brought was 5 foot to short to reach the main sewer at the street. Before we could return back out to the job with a larger snake we were told it was a city issuse and they would come out to fix the problem for her for free. We were happy that they got the plumbing problem fixed, we are sorry we couldnt help more. They are very nice people, and we were very glad to do what we could to help with their plumbing needs. Thanks."
