Had them install a new unit in April....this took 4 days and we had to miss work. Then the units drain line flooded the area. We placed a call to have someone come out (don't remember the exact time of call but did not say emergency either). They called to say they would be there Sunday and arrived on time. They were there less than an hour. Bill says they cleared lines...guess what we still have the same problem, but were billed for coming out on a Sunday...Monday would have been better...WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN....their prices are too high and staff unprofessional of handling ANY situation.
"The new unit was actually installed in March. The job started on March 5, 2014 and was completed March 7th. At noon on March 5th, the technician installing the job was notified his wife was being admitted to the hospital for a heart attack. He left at lunch. The owner of the company along with a retired former employee came out to the job to continue work and the job was completed on Friday the 7th. In regards to the drain, Mrs. [member name removed] called our office at 2:32pm July 6, 2014, from her home number requesting a technician. After receiving the information from the Answering Service, our technician responded to Mrs. [member name removed] to let her know he was available to come out that same day which was a Sunday. Saturday's, Sunday's, and Holiday's are considered after hours repairs. However, Mrs. [member name removed] was only charged our regular rates and not any overtime charges; the rates would have been the exact same on Monday since she was not charged for after hours. She was advised the drain was clogged due to a plumbing issue with her home and needed to contact a plumber. We were not notified of any water issues in basement until the call on July 6th. Normally the type of unit replacement we made in March does not take 2-1/2 to 3 days, however under the extraordinary circumstances it was unavoidable. We strive to resolve any customer issues we have and responded to the water leak, the same day we were notified. Mrs. Killian was not charged overtime. As with any product or service, consumers have many available options. We believe we have been faithful in providing prompt, professional, and courteous service to Mrs. Killian since our relationship began. Best Regards, Davis Heating and Air"
