Mr. Lewis and his crew loaded my moms things into a couple of their trucks and began the short move across town. When they arrived they tossed (literally) everything into a small sun/sewing room just off the kitchen. My mom is a very meticulous packer and labeled all boxes as to the rooms they were to be placed in (as Mr. Lewis had instructed "we will place them right where you want them"). They did place some of the larger furniture in the house making large scratches deep into the newly refinished floor. They tracked mug and stained rugs. Dropped an office chair in the mud and without telling anyone moved it to the back of the room where the mud had a chance to dry thereby ruining the chair. Broken plants, scratched antique furniture...My largest heartbreak was a box of antique chickens (which my grandmother collected-she died only a month prior to the move) was found crushed at the bottom of one of many piles of boxes as were most of the items that my mom had labeled in RED ink "FRAGILE". I would never recommend Ben E. Lewis Moving Services to anyone that values their belongings!
