Smith's Garage Door

I couldn't find the first thing to complain about if I tried. These guys were amazing, I wish I could put a plus on the A rating. They showed up right in the middle of the time window they gave me. And were the most efficient guys I've ever hired, definitely very experienced. They had my spring replaced, cables reinstalled, and lubed my rollers and tracks in a matter of minutes. I was very impressed with their efficiency, professionalism, and attention to detail. This is my first experience with this company but will not be my last if I ever need garage door services again.

Wow! They came out same day, even though I called at 3:30pm! The guy was super nice and helpful and unlocked my garage door! Super professional!!! I will DEFINITELY use them again in the future!!!!

The original install was an insulated garage door and a new garage door opener unit.   They came back on April 8th and replaced the incorrect buck jams and installed the brick molding.  It was a nice, neat professional job. It looks much better. The installers were very polite and did a great job.  I'm very happy with the job after it was completed. I would definitely recommend this company.

It went very well!  Mr. Smith came out to evaluate why the door opener would not work and determined that it had given up.  He replaced that with a new unit and all was well.
I would definitely recommend Smith's Garage Door to anyone needing the type of help I did.

Kelly scheduled us for a next-day appointment; she was friendly and helpful since she gave us an accurate job time, and she reminded the technician to call 30 minutes before arrival (so I could still go out and run errands instead of spending my afternoon waiting for tech to arrive). I used the Angie's List coupon for the discount on a regular service.

John came and measured for the complete replacement of two garage doors. He showed us all of the possible doors and explained the pros/cons of each door. We were on a tight schedule and they worked with us. We ran into problems during the construction and they jumped in and got everything back on track. The doors look great. I would highly recommend this company.

Mark came and replaced the spring in less than 30 minutes. Price was reasonable and happy with the job. Will use again!!

Mr. Gaylon Smith came to my home in response to my urgent call for help because my garage door would not open and I had a meeting to attend in Nashville. Wasn't able to get out of the garage and missed the meeting. Mr. Smith diagnosed the problem as a burnt out/broken door opener motor and replaced it. He was professional and appropriate. Had been recommended by Kevin Peterson of The Handyman Company. I checked Mr. Smith's ratings on Angie's List before calling him - found his ratings to be excellent, so called. I would call him again with any issue related to my garage doors.

We were very happy with the service Mr. Smith provided. He repaired the problem with our garage door sensor quickly and was very helpful. We definitely use him again for other jobs.

I'm an Active duty soldier at Fort Campbell, so I rent my house. The reason why I put $0 as the cost of service is because whatever charges there were, my landlord and property manager paid them.
The garage door opener stopped functioning properly. It wouldn't close unless you held down the wall mounted button. This is an indication that there is something wrong with the sensors.
Smith's was called by my Property Management company, Vision Realty to fix the problem.
First off, communication with Smith's was horrible. It was hard to get a hold of them by phone and they would take their time in getting back to me to schedule a date and time for service/diagnosis.
They only came one time and fixed it. The garage door worked for a week and then started having the same problem.
Smith's never contacted me again even though we tried to get them back out to my house. It took about 3 more weeks before communication between Vision Realty, Smith's, and I were on the same page.
Basically Smith's was telling Vision Realty that they came out to my house again (which they didn't) and said the whole garage door opener system needed to be replaced and they also recommended replacing the garage door. The garage door is in like new condition.
This was an outright lie to try to drum up business for themselves. My landlord was freaking out because he didn't have the money to replace an entire garage door system.
I told Vision Realty that the Garage Door was fine, and that I thought the only thing that needed to be replaced was the sensors. They agreed with my assessment.
After about 2 months of living with a broken garage door, I just bit the bullet and went to Lowe's and purchased two new Chamberlain sensors for about $35. I replaced them myself and the door works PERFECTLY now. One of the old sensors was shorting out, that's all the problem was.
Because of Smith's outright lies, my wife and I had to deal with manually opening and closing the garage door for 2 months! It was an easily fixable problem that took me 30 mins to fix and $35. This whole time Smiths was saying the entire system needed to be replaced AND they recommended a new garage door.
These guys are the worst! Stay away!

My garage door springs broke and I was unable to close the garage. I called Gaylon's office on Friday morning and he was at my house that very afternoon. He was not able to repair it the same day, but closed it and returned the very next morning, a Saturday, and fixed the entire thing. My garage works better now than before! My neighbor referred him to us, and it turns out Smith's garage installed over half of the garages on our street! I will call with any problems in the future.

Utility barn was a little tough and not an easy install. The door has a very low clearance and it tricky
House garage door was just as complicated. Everything had to be replaced. They had to come out to adjust and fix a couple of issues-my husband is a perfectionist. They were very pleasant and understanding. No problems at all.

We had a very good experience with them. My husband thought the price was reasonable. They are a pretty good company to work with. On several occasions, I had taken out my check book and he said that I do not owe him anything.
