Parkway Animal Clinic

I always get very good treatment when I take my Shepherd in. They take the time to look her over very good, ensure her weight is good and that she is overall very healthy. I cannot complain about the service I receive from either one of the Vets at this clinic.

I used this vet clinic for about 3 years. I had many experiences at this clinic with both of my dogs and both of the doctors that practice here. Instead of getting into stories and numerous details, I will make generalized recommendations and references:
* I was more pleased with Dr. Jana Howard caring for my dogs than the other doctor. She was able to help me get the upper hand on my dog's severe allergies. She seemed to be more neutral, more and quot;open bookand quot;, more up to date, and not in a rush. She would take time to present information as well as answer questions thoroughly.
* The pricing at this clinic is average. In combination with the quality of care that my dogs received here, I was not inclined to complain about any pricing.
*and quot;Janiceand quot; at the front desk at this clinic was highly and consistently professional and respectful. I really appreciated that she remembered my name and my dogs' names too. It made me feel less like a and quot;numberand quot;, which in my opinion is an all too familiar feeling in today's society in many different venues!
* This many be trivial to some, but I appreciated the calm coloring and other touches, such as plants, throughout the clinic. The seating in the waiting area provides space for patients - i.e. if there is a dog and a cat, then one of these patients could opt to sit around the corner on the other side of the room.
* I do not recommend their kenneling services. The kennels are cramped quarters and they do not get to go potty very often, and do not get very much exercise. Also, they may treat your animal without your permission and charge you for it during the boarding.

The vet tech was really nice and greeted us as soon as we walked through the door. We had some vet records from our dog's previous home, so she recorded down all her vaccinations and history while we waited. Once she was finished, we walked back to an exam room and she recorded her weight and prepared the booster she needed. Then the vet came in, gave her an exam and was really sweet with her. She gave her the booster and then gave her a few treats, after asking my permission first. I appreciated that a lot. She was really nice and really seemed to know what she was doing.

It went very well, they are awesome.

Dr. West is an excellent vet. He has twice saved one of my cats. He is a skilled surgeon as well as a compassionate animal lover. Dr. Howard is in his office as well but I would make sure that you only see Dr. West. Dr. Howard lost my confidence when she did not diagnose an obvious case of fleas on my cat.
