the initial installation was great. A couple of years later there were leaks around the chimney flashing and they came back and repaired those, of course with an additional charge. A couple more years and it leaked again. They came back out repaired it and I wrote another check..
January or February 2015 the leak was back. I called them back spoke with them, someone came out and looked and told me we needed a "rail system" around the chimney. I told them to go ahead and do it. They never came back. I called them several times since then spoke to whoever answers the phone, and was told someone would get back to me. Never got a response.
Davis Brothers appears to be in the business of putting roofs on asap, getting paid, moving on to the next job. I guess they don't make enough money repairing their botched jobs to bother with them.
I felt they were very unprofessional in the manner that they approached the job and also the finished product. They simply threw their scraps and cigarette butts in the yard, even after a bucket was provided and they had to be asked to use it. They were not careful around the landscaping and screws were found for months after the job. After the first hard rainstorm, we noticed leaking around the chimney pipe onto the woodstove and also an area in a wall behind the porch roof. They did come back and said they repaired it and reimbursed us for the drywall work that needed done. Once more I noticed water leaking and they returned to repair. However, it seems they simply applied a silicone caulk which did nothing. After 3 years of water damage, the wood siding on the dormers has rotted and the chimney still leaks. I feel that they are responsible because the job wasn't done correctly as far as the placement of flashing and sheets of roofing around the dormers and chimney. I contacted them recently by email but got no response. My husband was ill at the time of this work, and was unable to closely monitor the quality.Soon after the second attempt to repair, he passed away and I was unaware of the continuous damage being caused. I am now in the process of finding someone to repair both the siding and correct the roofing problems. One of the roofers I contacted gave me an estimate for both materials and labor. I purchased the materials but when I called them back to do the installation, they never returned my calls. Now I have materials worth an additional $400 which should not have been necessary had the job been done correctly the first time, not to mention the rotted siding and dry wall damage.
