The cleaning crew seemed to be different each month so they must have trouble keeping employees. They have broken property on several occasions. Most of the time we would not say anything because they did a decent job cleaning and did not want to get anyone in trouble.  The crew never even mentioned that they broke our items but they did report it to the company, however the company never reached out to us.  My wife called and spoke with a representative of the company who said they were cancelling our contract, which we did not want and the representative said they would make up for the damages. Another representative began talking to my wife and said he was going to cancel the contract because they could not satisfy us.  The representative was very disrespectful to my wife and myself. He told me he was going to call my church and the members of my church and slander me. He was threatening me and my wife.  He was unprofessional and not business savvy.  The work done was good but dealing with the representatives was terrible.

Sales rep was very nice and specific about what would and would not be done.
For the initial service the worker was in our home for over 8 hours, of course this is reflected in the price for the initial visit as well.
We were completely pleased with the work done in the kitchen which is where she spent the majority of her time.  The bathrooms were acceptable, and she even left mints on the pillows in the master bedroom.
The floors did not feel clean, like a sticky film was on them.  The products they used had a funny smell to them and did not leave the house with that 'just cleaned,' smell.  On the initial visit the worker broke a souvenir in my daughter?s bedroom.  She left a note indicating the office would be in touch with me to take care of it. - They never addressed this issue.  On the second visit a different worker broke a keepsake cross; she left a note indicating the office would be in touch.  This time the office did contact us and said they would reimburse us for the cross, but never addressed the item broken in my daughter?s room.  To this date they have not reimbursed us for either item.

Met with representative for pre visit consultation.  Walked thru entire home and discussed what would and wouldn't be done.  She took notes the entire time.
Worker showed up on time for the scheduled cleaning appointment.  Home was empty since we had moved out and we left her there to work.  We came back the next day to ensure it was clean enough to turn over to the landlord.  Issues we found.
Floors had been mopped with dirty mop water, you could see the dirty water spots on the kitchen floor.  Bathrooms had been cleaned to an acceptable level.  Baseboards were dusted.  Kitchen counters were cleaned well.
What wasn't done. No inside windows were cleaned. No ceiling fans were cleaned. No walls were wiped down at all.No kitchen cabinets were wiped down. The garage and basement were not mopped.  A note was left saying she did not have the proper mop to do cement floors.
We spent 4 hours finishing the cleaning to turn over to the landlord the next day.  I contacted Selah Cleaning and noted the issues and they said they would get back to me.  I asked for a $75 refund.
No further response from them.  I would dare use them for daily cleaning of my home.

They are very thorough. They were here when they said they would be. Their rates are reasonable. The crew was professional.  I would use them again.

A little late but went to work at once. Cleaned everything I wanted. One cleaner took 5 hours and did an outstanding job. I have tried two other services and Selah is so much better. I have scheduled every two weeks with them.

The initial cleaning was good, but all cleanings after (except for one) were substantially sub-par.  We were very specific on HOW we wanted the house cleaned, as well as what areas to focus on in the initial visit.  Apparently they failed to take note of these things and even after being notified, they did not improve.  We were very clear that all our floors (all hardwood) were to be both vacuumed and cleaned with hardwood surface cleaning solution.  Never once were our floors cleaned with a 'wet' solution, and there were quite a few spots left where the cats had hairballs every time.  We were also very clear that every rug should be thoroughly vacuumed, as this is important with 3 pets, but found a substantial amount of dog/cat hair on each one following every cleaning.  The bathroom floors were never cleaned well, as evidenced by the hair that remained on the tile (pretty easy to clean, right?) floor each time.  Whatever cleaner they use in the shower creates a slick surface when wet, which caused quite a few slips.  They tout their organizational 'skills,' but we were clear that we didn't want them to organize anything.  Every time, I came to find that the things on the top of my dresser (which were already organized) had been moved around and misplaced.  They also indicated that each window sill would be cleaned during every visit, but this was never done.  Finally, they both adjusted the thermostat and left the lights on after every cleaning, so we would come home to find the heat/air conditioning running as well as 3-4 lights that had been left on.  When I contacted them to cancel the service, they tried to threaten me with a 'breech' (note the spelling, and you should have seen the grammar!) of contract.  They then hid behind their 'Christian' moniker when I threatened to take legal action (and unfortunately severely misapplied Scripture), as well as falsely claimed I had never contacted them about the quality of the cleaning.  I'd stay away from Selah.

They're christian people and most of the workers are extremely nice and hard workers. If they forget to do something, they will come back to do it. I really have no complaints, it has all been excellent. I think the price is excellent compared to other places. Even if they're running late, they will call you.

I am giving them a "D" for Disappointing. My husband and I are both 60 and are not messy people, however, we wanted a team to come in to do the heavy house cleaning. We were "convinced" to pay the higher initial cleaning fee of $229.00, instead of the agreed upon cleaning price of $100.00 for a bi-monthly clean. We were told during the estimation visit that the "initial" cleaning would give us the cleaning we needed for the shower doors. We expected their "A-I'm here to impress you and you can't do without our service" cleaning, but we feel we may have only gotten the regular $100.00 cleaning. The porcelain facilities were done well, but else where they left a lot to be desired. After they cleaned, I sent them an e-mail with a list of things I thought should have been done. They were: some dog food still left on the laundry room tiled floor (mopped over), food & crumbs stuck to the kitchen counters and kitchen table, soapy residue left in the soap dishes in the bathrooms, cobwebs left in a few corners, several areas were left dusty, including wall scones and the walk-in closets were not vacuumed. Their response was they would return and do everything I wanted done, except the walk-in closets. Remember, I expected their "A" game, coming back for a do over of certain things, wasn't acceptable. Also, we were informed at this late date that unless discussed during the walk through (we didn't know to ask) they DIDN'T vacuum a closet because of privacy (?) issues. I find that comment a cop-out. When asked about vacuuming sliding glass door tracks, I was told that service fell under a different kind of cleaning service as does dusting the blinds. I guess I can't afford all of these different services, especially since I thought a house cleaning meant just that, A HOUSE CLEANING! When I called or e-mailed them they had an answer for everything, leading me to believe they had heard all of this before. Also, when they finish a room, to signal to the others that room has been done, the door will be shut. When I got home, my entire house was closed off. Since they do not use any fresh smelling cleaning products (which I like) my house smelled stale instead of clean. I do understand they use environmentally sensitive products. While I approve, I think they should re-open the doors to rid the first impression of the house of being stale and dark-not good. We had planned on hiring them to clean twice a month, but I found I couldn't live with my house being cleaned by a group that dusted "around" items and mopped over stuck dog food on the floor.

I spend $125 per visit. So far the service has been terrible enthusiastic. They clean, but they do what all the other companies would do. I was looking for something more spectacular, I mean even I dust and vacuum. They are supposed to wipe down the doors and light switches but they have not done that yet. I wound up re-mopping my tile floor because they left the dirty mop and left. I have not told them that I am happy yet. I wanted to give them an opportunity before I discuss it with them. The 2 times that they have come out, they have not told me what time they were coming. I need to be told what time to expect them.

"We sincerely apologize for anything you are unsatisfied with. We strive to have the best quality around, and we boast that many of our customers are ex-Cleaning Authority and ex-Molly Maid customers (who love our work and say it surpasses all others). We appreciate your review, and we will definitely use it to better our service, as well as correct any issues with which you were unsatisfied. We also want you to know that we have a 100% satisfaction guarantee, where if there is EVER anything left not up to standards (even if it is just one light switch plate that was not gotten), we will return to fix it ASAP for free. Our goal is to give our customers what they desire and deserve. Also, we always offer an AM or PM time slot for customers to pick between. If you would just let us know which one of those slots you would like, we will gladly place you there and always keep it the same so you can be better prepared for us to come. Thank you!"

I decided to hire this company after the initial meeting with their representative. She came to my home, looked at what needed to be done and appeared very professional. They cleaned and organized while I was at work. Upon my arrival home I thought the house looked fabulous, but, was a little surprised to find so little trash in the dumpster. I quickly learned why there was so little trash in my dumpster. I received a call from a store in Lafayette, GA (I live in Chattanooga, TN) because they had found my things in their dumpster. It wasn't just trash that had been thrown away. I had to drive to the store that night, climb in their nasty dumpster and retrieve my personal things--my personal information was in there, keepsake items, etc. There are still many other things that I have not been able to locate since they 'cleaned' my house. Also, I later discovered that my new $70 paper shredder was no longer working. Most recently, however, I have been unable to locate my computer software that needs to be reloaded onto my computer. I immediately contacted Selah about the situation and the call from the store, but, have NEVER heard back from them. (I did, however, cancel the check I had written to them). I was advised to file a police report, if for no other reason than to protect myself in case an identity theft problem ever developed due to this situation. Shortly after this incident, the same store in Lafayette contacted me because they had found someone else's things in their dumpster. They wanted Selah's name and contact information in order to report them to the police. Hopefully, Selah has changed since my experience with them, however, I have never received any sort of restitution or even so much as an apology. Throwing someone else's things into some random company's dumpster is no way to do business. Please do not represent yourself as a professional company if you are not willing to take responsibility for your actions. I am still 'cleaning up' from Selah's housecleaning/organizing.
Response from Selah Kleaning
"Please note it is company policy to always leave ANY trash during an organizational clean at the customer's home for them to dispose of. We have done numerous organizational cleanings and this is how we always handle them. We do this not only for customer privacy, but also because we cannot expect employees to haul things off to the dump. As for other accusations (paper shredder, computer software, etc), we have NO communication with you or anyone else regarding any such complaints. It is not uncommon for customers needing to adjust to items no longer being unorganized (but rather having a set place), hence why we always leave detailed notes on where everything is at for the customer to be able to enjoy their clean and organized home. The change is drastic, and this is what we are paid for. We have many references that will vouch for everything stated in this comment. We noticed that this accusation is from service performed 2 years ago... this has confused us (along with the other statements you made), and we are wondering how valid this complaint is and WHY it was made. We are in the business of customer service. We would never do anything so blatant (as your accusations suggest) as to clearly lose customers. Also, if the "stated dumpster owner found another person's personal items in their dumpster", how does that indicate that OUR company had anything to do with it? This makes no sense, and is clearly more false information written to bash our company. If we practiced such policies as you mentioned, our company would never grow. The police have NEVER gotten a hold of us for any such related incidents. Please ensure that all comments you leave for a company are done out of truthfulness and not out of any spiteful or competitive motivations. Thank you."

I like their concept. They do an initial deep cleaning at a higher cost (can't remember what that was) and then I scheduled them for monthly cleanings. I like the lady who comes to clean. She is very likeable and thorough. They text me the night before to remind me they are coming. She is here about 3-1/2 hours. A few things they don't do are closets, dishes, and laundry room, but they do change sheets and make beds. I know they would clean the laundry room for a additional price but I don't know what that is. They will tidy and organize, but I do that myself. They use green cleaners and provide all supplies and equipment. The price is cheaper if you do weekly or every other week or if you sign a contract which I did not do.
Response from Selah Kleaning
"We appreciate your review! We want to let you know that we do typically stay out of closets as a rule to respect our customer's privacy; however, if requested and permitted, we will always cater our cleanings to our customers and will vacuum the closets with no problem. [FYI: We also offer organizational cleans for whole homes or for closet spaces]. We also offer dishes, laundry, and almost any other additional task one may think of, but you are right that it is not included in the regular price. We are so happy that you are pleased with the service. Thank you, again."
